I just realised that stepmania has ruined every sense of value I had when it comes to dance games, with the only remaining factors are pads and features, one is as good as the owner allows it to be and the 2nd one is only getting worse over time.

Truly a great time to get into dance games

In anticipation of Pump It Up's 25th anniversary this year, we are launching Pump It Up archives -- a fan project dedicated to archiving all official Pump It Up content ever made since 1st Dance Floor.

I've been working on and off for about a year on a sm editor on Godot, and I can finally add notes. Wasted most of the time trying to understand what to do, and right now it's useless but finally it's going somewhere.

Nothing huge yet but for those interested in seeing progress or Godot masters who want to help, I swear I'll put more comments soon
To be honest I kinda hated XX, those who felt the horrible launch that is phoenix (in terms of features) would understand that XX didn't feel like a great update out of the box but it was an amazing journey all along.
But this screen says it all, the dates are probably inaccurate as hell but getting to this point was rough and it took a ton of dedication for the game. It's no expert but now that we I have more high level players to train with over here maybe it could happen soon...
I'll just add up to it, if you want a good way to protest just don't play bemani games, if konami is the problem and they want your money then don't give it to them. Other rhythm games exist, other dance games exist, other vsrgs exist, you don't have to play konami games.
I get that pump wants to become more pro and stuff but we can't forget that the most common type of player is the "mash the flashy center button because the game doesn't explain shit", so why isn't there more work on making the game more accessible and less on fixing old charts?

I feel bad for anyone who's close to pass this chart because andamiro thought it was not hard enough!

Beat Saber needs to get it's shit together, how can a game have no difficulty ranking in 2023 and be the most popular game in the genre? Also what's with the dlcs? where did monstercat go? This is a game about cutting cubes with your light sabers, bring us music that goes harder.
