I tried to explain a simple truth as clearly as possible: for-profit healthcare doesn't work, and can't work, and nearly all of America is in agreement on this.

New article about (1) whether AI-enabled hackers could shut down the Internet, and (2) how the Effective Altruist movement is effectively taking over the world. Read and share, if you have the time:

He opposed the US acting "unilaterally." That's exactly what his company, Anthropic, along with the other AI companies are doing re: ASI--they're trying to build a Machine God without ever having once asked the rest of us for permission or consent. Utterly shameful. @DarioAmodei
I found footage of 20yo Dario Amodei speaking against the Iraq War in 2003. 18 years before Anthropic even existed

lol he admits its not real music
AI generated music is 1000x better than real music. Today I canceled Spotify and SiriusXM because I finally tested Suno. What sold me was the first prompt I gave it: “My favorite artists are A Day to Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox, Bad Omens, and Sleep Token. Analyze all their hits and generate a song I’m likely to love based on those artists.” It one shots an absolute banger in 10 seconds. I'll link the song in the next tweet for anyone curious. Why would I ever go back to Spotify/SiriusXM when I can generate music perfectly tailored to my taste on command, for free? Not affiliated with Suno in any way btw, it was just one of those moments where I was so impressed with AI’s capability I had to say something about it.

In 2019 I got a roundtrip ticket to Tokyo, nonstop from New York, for under $600. Unlikely anyone will ever be able to do that again.

Bone-chilling levels of Islamophobia. To be so hateful at a young age is a learned trait. Shame on her family for fostering an environment of evil.

In January 2025 my mom’s lung cancer spread to her brain. The drug with the best chance of helping her was approved in China but not here. A doctor told me, almost as an aside, that if she were Chinese she could buy it at a pharmacy. So I flew to Shanghai and came home with 26 boxes in my luggage. That was 19 months ago. My mom is still here, still working, and in her words has had an amazing three years. The drug was approved in China in 2023. The FDA approved it in July 2025. It still is not for sale here. I know of at least 30 Americans who have made the same trip. I have been scared to tell this story because I worried it could cost my mom access to the medicine keeping her alive. But the problem matters more than my silence. These drugs need to be developed and available here, and that means FDA reform. Art Allen at KFF Health News told our story this week. It also ran in The Washington Post. kffhealthnews.org/health-ind…

Perhaps the threat was never a rogue AI agent trying to subvert humans—but humans using AI to hurt other humans.

No need to sign. As long as he doesn't veto, the bills become law anyway. His approach is actually more efficient. That's why he gets more done than other Mayors. – at Brooklyn, NY
NEW: Mayor Zohran Mamdani has signed just one bill into law in 10 months since taking office — leaving critics to wonder if the millennial mayor is more interested in social media stardom than his daily government duties. nypost.com/2026/10/22/us-new…

By “antisemitism in schools” she means her daughter’s school organized a bake sale for Palestinian charities in November 2023 and when she threw a fit and forced the school to agree that all proceeds be split equally between Palestinian and Israeli charities the other parents voted to cancel the whole thing altogether.

Interesting response that completely ignores the fact one of sex workers alleged that he was a minor at the time Graham hired him
Dear Democrats, This is why we called him Lady Graham. This isn’t an October surprise, we’ve known this for years. And blaming his sister for the fact Lindsey was a poorly closeted gay man, is only going to backfire. No one cares.

If Prop 40 is enacted, Zuckerberg will be on the hook for about $10 billion. @Meta will allow him to sell up to 20% of his new class C shares. Because these shares are non-voting, Zuckerberg will not lose any voting rights. He will keep control of @Meta. In return, Zuckerberg commits to staying in California for at least 8 more years. This destroys the argument that somehow billionaires “cannot pay” a wealth tax because they would “lose control” of their companies (which would be bad, according to them).

Things are moving so fast that everyone seems to have completely missed how insane it is that AI companies have been allowed to unleash agentic AI products with no regulatory guidelines.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

We sat down with Grover Norquist, Ronald Reagan’s anti-tax warrior and the man behind the GOP’s pledge to never raise taxes. We asked why he calls Social Security a Ponzi scheme, and why Elon Musk pays a lower tax rate than you. Here’s the full 45-minute interview:

I drive a car in New York City. I don't particularly want to get tickets. I don't support mass government surveillance. But I do support this. As a pedestrian or a driver i'm always shocked by how brazen some drivers are with the lives of others, and their own. This is good.
We know how to make our streets safer, so we did it 600 times. Red light cameras reduce red light running by 80% and T-bone crashes by 65%. Most importantly, they help New Yorkers get home safely. That's why we installed new red light cameras at 600 intersections across the five boroughs to help stop dangerous driving before tragedy strikes, and make our streets safer for everyone who walks, rolls, drives, or takes the bus. nydailynews.com/2026/10/21/n…
