Elder millennial here to wildly speculate that Taylor Swift singing about April 29 is NOT a reference to the date, but to the telephone code 4/29 which spells G-A-Y and is a lil gift from her to the #gaylors
"Do you really want to know where I was April 29th?"

Cis people: I need you to understand (and help others understand) that “the trans debate” is NOT relevant “to only a small number of people” but to everyone. Thread below for why:

What a great vaccine campaign ad out of France oozing with positivity, hope and a clear and simple demonstration of how effective vaccines are.
Can someone make a Canadian version of this? @JakeBogoch @BogochIsaac @zchagla @HeidiTworek

On Monday I booked vaccines for my 40+ spouse in Ontario and then for my 60+ mother in Nova Scotia.
Let me tell you how it went.
The tl;dr version:
Ontario = Serious Hunger Games vibes.
Nova Scotia = Easiest thing I have done this week.

And if your loved ones live outside of Toronto...tell them to call, too. Shoppers was happy to take my 64-year-old parents from Barrie. It's open to those who "live, work and study in Ontario."
PSA: Some pharmacies in Toronto are accepting walk-ins for #COVID19 vaccinations as of *right now* following Ontario's announcement that anyone 60+ could soon get shots.

Yearly calls to Ontario Rape Crisis Centres have gone from 30,000 a decade ago to more than 50,000 now. Yet promised funding has not flown. Sexual violence is not a partisan issue, we need action now because #SurvivorsCantWait. #Onpoli thestar.com/politics/provinc…

Such a damning, depressing line in @dwallacewells tour de force new essay on climate change: "If we had started global decarbonization in 2000 we would have had to cut emissions by only about 2 percent per year to stay safely under two degrees of warming." nytimes.com/2019/02/16/opini…
