Nehirlerden kıyılara, açık denizlerden okyanusların en derin noktalarına kadar her yerde bu parçacıklara rastlanıyor.
Planktonlardan balıklara, deniz kuşlarından memelilere kadar pek çok canlı bu mikroplastikleri besin sanarak yutabiliyor. Bu durum canlılarda yaralanmalara ve dokulara kadar ulaşan hasarlara yol açıyor. Üstelik plastik üretimindeki kimyasal maddeler ve yüzeye tutunan kirleticiler de besin ağı boyunca taşınarak tüm deniz yaşamını etkiliyor.
Plastikleri denize ulaştıktan sonra temizlemek değil, kaynağında azaltmak gerekiyor. Bu da insan davranışlarının değişmesini, plastik üretimi ile tüketiminin bütüncül biçimde ele alınmasını gerektiriyor.
Denizler yalnızca insanların kullandığı alanlar değil, planktonlardan balıklara, deniz kuşlarından deniz memelilerine kadar sayısız canlının ortak yaşam alanı.

The Kendir Hemp Project began as a soil health verification initiative, restoring Anatolian lands using no-till farming, crop rotation, organic inputs, and heirloom hemp seeds. These methods rebuild soil carbon, support biodiversity, and strengthen rural livelihoods.
Today, it’s part of a broader ecosystem of regenerative action in Turkey—combining traditional cultivation with a grassroots, blockchain-governed DAO.
Over 18 months of collaboration through Regen Foundation’s Endowment Program, the team built a community-governed DAO that includes NGOs, grassroots organizations & regenerative projects, including @earthistdao. Using Regen’s DAODAO platform, they govern and assess ecological outcomes—from hemp cultivation to product innovation—based on on-the-ground updates collected via WhatsApp, transformed into formal proposals on-chain.

Giresun, çok iyi korunmuş doğal ekosistemlere ve yaban hayatına ev sahipliği yapıyor. Burada üç Önemli Doğa Alanı bulunuyor: Giresun ve Ordu Kıyıları, Giresun Dağları ve Doğu Karadeniz Dağları’nın bir kısmı.
Giresun Dağları Önemli Doğa Alanı yaban hayatı açısından büyük bir çeşitlilik sunuyor; vaşak, ayı, kurt ve yaban keçisi sürülerinin yanı sıra dört akbaba türü, küçük kartal, Kafkas fistosu kelebeği ve Kafkas semenderi gibi önemli türler bulunuyor.
Giresun Adası ve Akkuş Adası ve çevresi, üreme ve kışlama dönemlerinde çok sayıda su kuşu barındırıyor. Bölgede ayrıca yarasalar ve sürüngenler gibi tehlike altındaki bazı türler de yaşamını sürdürüyor.
Ancak Giresun günümüzde ciddi bir madencilik baskısıyla karşı karşıya bulunuyor. TEMA’nın Maden ve Petrol İşleri Genel Müdürlüğü (MAPEG) verilerine dayanarak hazırladığı 2022 tarihli rapora göre Giresun’un yüzde 85’i maden ruhsatlarıyla kaplanmış durumda.
Yaşayan bu ekosistemin yok olmaması için bölgedeki madencilik ruhsatları iptal edilmeli. Buradaki faaliyetler bölgenin benzersiz biyoçeşitliliği, ekosistemleri ve yerel üretimleriyle uyumlu bir şekilde planlanmalı.

Psilocybin made human cells live 50% longer.
A new study has uncovered surprising anti-aging potential in psilocin—the active metabolite produced when the body breaks down psilocybin, the psychoactive compound found in magic mushrooms.
In laboratory experiments, researchers exposed two human cell lines (skin fibroblasts and fetal lung fibroblasts) to a 100 μM concentration of psilocin. The results were striking: lung cells took 57% longer to reach replicative senescence (the point at which cells permanently stop dividing and accumulate damage), while skin fibroblasts extended their replicative lifespan by 51%.
These findings suggest psilocin may slow fundamental cellular aging processes, possibly by lowering oxidative stress, enhancing DNA-repair pathways, supporting mitochondrial health, or dampening chronic inflammation—mechanisms that overlap with those targeted by leading experimental longevity drugs.
The benefits extended beyond cell culture. In aged female mice (19 months old at the start, equivalent to approximately 60–65 human years), a single monthly dose of psilocybin dramatically improved outcomes. After 10 months of treatment, 80% of the psilocybin-treated animals remained alive, compared with only 50% of untreated controls. Treated mice also displayed markedly fewer visible signs of aging, including reduced fur loss and graying.
This research marks the first direct demonstration that psilocybin/psilocin can influence biological aging itself, rather than solely producing psychological effects. The authors emphasize that the study used relatively conservative dosing and are now advocating for follow-up work with higher or more frequent administration, detailed assessments of immune, metabolic, and cognitive function, and investigations into whether the extended lifespan corresponds to genuine improvements in healthspan and quality of life.
