Config 2026 is almost here! If @figma fixes this, I do not need anything else.
(I have updated the file 4 times already before recording the video)
APCA is a modern, perception-based contrast standard. WCAG is still the legal one. betterLCH now supports both.
Obtain the right contrast for any color combination.

Infinite color combinations. Almost identical contrast every time. This is what contrast generation looks like — not checking, generating.
Deep dive into betterLCH — a color tool I've built for design system teams who want full control over their color system.

Wouldn't this be handy in @figma?
5 years ago I built a Bricks Constructor in Figma.
It always felt unfinished.
Aligning and stacking bricks on the canvas was just too painful — so it sat there, incomplete.
@figma Make finally changed that.
Now it's interactive, and it's live: bit.ly/3NwECUP
When you're done, export directly to Figma as variables.
Change one base color → your entire design system updates in seconds.

Initially, I didn't want to add any decoration to betterLCH, focusing purely on its function.
But how can you stand using a beautiful shader when it's as easy as hitting ⌥R in @paper? And it maps straight to my color styles!
It started with a glance at Geist Pixel and ended up as a @figma template that helps to precisely align the font with patterns and pixel grid: figma.com/community/file/160…

• OKLCH colors
• Relative Chroma
• APCA contrast
• Figma and CSS export
