Your post can get 10,000 views and still generate ZERO sales. Why? You forgot to tell people what to do next. A CTA (Call to Action) turns attention into action. Building in public taught me to think beyond posting: → Want feedback? Ask a specific question. → Want signups? Give people a reason to join. → Want sales? Show them what to buy and why. → Want conversations? Invite people to share their experience. Don't make people guess their next step. Attention without action is just a vanity metric. I'm learning this while building Vehicle OS. What's one CTA that actually worked for you? 👇

Skipping an oil change to save money can cost you an engine. Here's why engine oil matters: → Reduces friction between moving parts → Carries heat away from critical components → Helps remove dirt and contaminants → Protects against wear and corrosion What happens if you miss it? Oil degrades and contaminants build up. Lubrication becomes less effective, wear increases, and severe neglect can lead to engine damage or even engine failure. The lesson: Don't wait for a warning light to remind you. Follow your manufacturer's oil change interval based on mileage and time. A small maintenance cost today can prevent a massive repair bill tomorrow. That's why tracking your car's maintenance history matters. 🔧

Your car doesn't suddenly become unreliable. Neglect builds up silently. Oil loses its ability to protect. Brakes wear down. Tyres lose grip. Small issues become expensive repairs. First principle: Every mechanical system degrades with use. Maintenance slows that degradation before it costs you more. Don't wait for your car to tell you something is wrong. By then, the repair bill might be telling you too.

Managing a car shouldn't mean juggling multiple records. Service dates. Insurance renewals. Warranty expiry. What if you could manage all three in one place? I'm building Vehicle OS — a Notion system to help car owners stay organized. Would this be useful for you? Explore Vehicle OS 👇 solobuilder4.gumroad.com/l/v…

Marketing ≠ Distribution. Marketing = what you say and how you position it. Distribution = how you get it in front of the right people. Great product + great marketing + poor distribution = nobody sees it. I’m learning to build both.

most car owners don’t forget to service their car. They forget when it’s due. Missed maintenance can turn a small issue into an expensive repair. Do you have a system to track yours ?🚗 What method or habit do u follow?

Unpopular opinion: Your product doesn't need better positioning. It needs clearer positioning. People don't buy because they understand what you built. They buy when they understand: “This solves a problem I already care about.” Stop explaining features. Sell the outcome.

Shipped a small feature today: Tire Rotation Tracker 🔧 Backstory: it came straight from a Reddit comment. Someone said they never rotate their tires because they lose track of when the last one happened. That's it. That's the whole feature request. 🧵

Followers ≠ buyers. You can have 10K followers and still struggle to get 1 client. Because attention isn't the same as intent.

We overestimate we can do in a day and underestimate what can be done in 5 years. Agree??

Most SaaS products don’t fail because they’re poorly built. They fail because nobody needed them. Before writing a single line of code, its better to consider the below: 🎯 1.Problem — What painful problem am I solving? 👤 2.Customer — Who experiences it most?

$30K MRR is what we see The iceberg is what we don’t Most people want the revenue Few see the years of failure, rejection, uncertainty and grind underneath it. MRR is the result. The journey is the real price. Would you still want the $30K if you had to go through the iceberg?

Build in Public — Vehicle OS Today’s update wasn’t about adding more features. It was about making the basics trustworthy -Added Delete Vehicle with confirmation -Fixed a bug where overdue vehicles were still showing “Good” Now overdue vehicles correctly show “Service Now”

1/8 Founders: Your product may not have a retention problem. It may have a pain problem. If users like your product but don't need it, no amount of onboarding optimization will fix your churn. 🧵

The biggest mistake indie hackers make: Build → Build → Build → Launch → “Now I need marketing.” Wrong. Marketing should start while building. Talk to users Create content Build an audience Get feedback A product nobody discovers is a product nobody can use

What if your users marketed your SaaS simply by using it? That’s the interesting lesson behind TrustMRR. At first glance, it's just a database of startup revenue. But there's a much smarter business hiding underneath. Here's what I found 🧵
I made $82,221 in August 2026. ⭐️ TrustMRR — $42K 📈 DataFast — $26K 🧑‍💻 CodeFast — $4K 🐥 Twitter — $4K ⚡️ ShipFast — $3K 🏴‍☠️ Ship or Die — $2K 🍜 Indie Page — $595 🌱 HabitsGarden — $244 🦐 SuperShrimp — $153 🛡️ ByeDispute — $117 🎞️ YouTube — $112 I didn't work much this month. I travelled to 5 countries and spent time with my family. It's nice to have 6% churn 😇

Shipped a small update to the Vehicle Maintenance OS Dashboard now shows distance since last tire rotation and the before/after wheel positions (FL, FR, RL, RR) for each vehicle. Simple change, but makes the tracker actually useful at a glance. #buildinpublic
