Never take Ugandan statements seriously. They're always bargaining over pay
#UPDATE: Uganda Army Chief Deletes Somalia Withdrawal Announcement as Fresh Troops Deploy #Uganda’s military chief, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has deleted a social media post announcing the withdrawal of Ugandan troops from #Somalia after nearly 20 years of participation in African Union peacekeeping operations. “As we promised, we have started withdrawing UPDF from Somalia. After 20 years of a lot of blood and sacrifice we are handing over security to our Somali brothers,” he wrote Thursday. Separately, more than 100 Ugandan soldiers reportedly departed Mogadishu over the past 48 hours, although it remains unclear whether their departure was part of a planned withdrawal or a routine troop rotation. Meanwhile, Uganda’s military has announced the deployment of Battle Group 48 to Somalia under the African Union Support and Stabilisation Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM). Major General Felix Busizoori urged the deploying troops to maintain discipline, teamwork and commitment throughout their mission.

Tell Sam Altman that I use my 64GB of RAM to run print("Hello, World!"). I want him to know it's me.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

#ALERT: Hassan Sheikh Told Uganda He Would Lose Presidency if UPDF Withdraws, MP Claims A Ugandan lawmaker has revealed that Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud told members of Uganda’s Parliament that his political survival depends on the continued presence of Ugandan troops (UPDF) in Somalia. According to the lawmaker, Hassan Sheikh acknowledged that he would likely lose power if Ugandan forces withdrew from the country. The reported remarks raise fresh questions about the Somali government’s dependence on foreign military support, particularly amid funding shortages affecting the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM). #Somalia #Uganda #UPDF #AUSSOM #HassanSheikh

>man who caused global ram crisis >complains he can’t get more
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers. “Everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time,” He argues that cloud data centers should make better use of limited memory supplies instead of people running AI models locally.

Dude who caused the DRAM shortage is now scolding people for hoarding memory inside their own laptops instead of giving it all to him.
sam: local inference is a terrible allocation of scarce resources “a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we're going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data centre but from a global allocation perspective, actually it's quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you're trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment somehow many people's intuition is the opposite of that”

This property was formerly owned by a private limited liability company, Central Kenya Limited. The property was charged to the bank. The property was sold to Floriculture Limited after Central Kenya Limited defaulted in the repayment of the loan. Where does one’s inherent come in? What stops a Somali from buying a property sold by the bank?
What business do these Somalis have with Ciku Muiruri's inherited land and we are silent. Are they above the law?

#UPDATE: Anti-Turkey Protests Erupt in Diinsoor as Demonstrators Burn Turkish Flag and Denounce Somali President Residents of Diinsoor district in Somalia’s Bay region have staged demonstrations against the Turkish government and Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, with protesters setting fire to a Turkish flag in a public display of anger over Ankara’s perceived involvement in Somalia’s internal political and military affairs. The demonstrations come amid escalating tensions between Somalia’s Federal Government and factions aligned with Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen. Protesters expressed opposition to what they view as foreign interference in Southwest State, emphasizing the need to protect the region’s political autonomy, dignity and right to determine its own affairs. Similar demonstrations have previously taken place in other parts of Southwest State, where residents accused Turkish-linked aircraft of conducting airstrikes that allegedly damaged civilian property, farmland and livestock.

So who’s committing fraud? A private prison in Minnesota was offered for sale for $75 million last year. The Trump administration paid $495.6 million for the same facility. That’s a difference of more than $420 million in taxpayer money. And these are the people lecturing Minnesotans about fraud? The hypocrisy is staggering. Every accusation from Trump folks is starting to sound like a confession.

What is surprising is that Al-Shabaab militants control Basra, less than 35 km northwest of Mogadishu. This raises a critical question: Why is the Federal Government of Somalia prioritizing a military operation to capture Buurhakaba, approximately 180 km from Mogadishu, while Al-Shabaab continues to control territory much closer to the capital?

𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐞𝐠𝐨 New reports are emerging following the fighting that took place near Leego on Monday. Hundreds of soldiers remain unaccounted for as of this morning, with no confirmation of their whereabouts or whether they are alive. Among those missing is the deputy commander of the military unit. It’s also being reported that the contingent of soldiers who suffered losses during Monday’s fighting was engaged in further clashes yesterday. Two days after the initial battle, the government has yet to launch any rescue or search operation to locate the missing troops. The government appears to have shown little concern for the losses suffered, with no apparent accountability or serious examination of the operation’s outcome. Very similar to events in Ras Kambooni with SNA forces crossing the border into Kenya - no accountability. #Somalia

Operation Banooda was reportedly launched by the FGS to target al-Shabab & forces loyal to ousted SWS leader, Abdiaziz Laftagareen near Burhakaba while also ending the siege on the city of #Baydhabo, the last FGS stronghold in #Bay. The operation’s first axis, advancing from Balidogle towards Buur Hakaba, was led by Brigadier General Ahmed Abdi Ali. The forces involved included the 174th, 165th, 131st and 12th battalions, alongside a heavy weapons unit according to reports. Col. Cadow Mohamed Sahal was appointed overall commander of the operation. Planning for Operation Banooda was finalised on 22 October, reportedly under a compressed timeline that may have left critical risks insufficiently addressed. Al-Shabaab’s strength was estimated at fewer than 600 fighters according to reports. The first axis was scheduled to begin its advance at on 23 October, with the entire operation expected to be completed within 14 days. The plan called for forces advancing from the Balidogle–Buur Hakaba axis and a second axis departing from Baydhabo to converge on the outskirts of Buur Hakaba. This failed to materialise for two reasons: 𝐀𝐥-𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐛 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐍𝐀 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 #𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐨 More than eight heavy military vehicles supplied by #Türkiye were reportedly destroyed during fighting in Jameeco, with some others allegedly captured by AS according to reports. Numerous cargo trucks & substantial quantities of military supplies intended for the operation were also reportedly destroyed. According to some reports. Below officers were wounded: ➡️Gen. Abdulkadir Adan Caafi - wounded ➡️Major Abbas Ciise, commander of the 172nd Unit, 17th Battalion - wounded ➡️ Major Cabdi Xasan, commander of the 174th Unit, 17th Battalion - wounded ➡️ Lieutenant Cabdiweli, logistics officer of the 174th Unit, 17th Battalion - wounded. No comments from the FGS thus far. Also, unconfirmed reports are suggesting al-Shabab might have used drones, with number of casualties as high as the #Cosweyne tragedy. These forces were part of an FGS attack alongside SNA forces from Balidogle to recapture SWS from forces to loyal Laftagareen. 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐍𝐀 & 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 If confirmed, the reported destruction of military vehicles & loss of supplies would raise serious questions about the operation’s planning, intelligence assessments & preparedness for Al-Shabaab’s response. Security analysts have criticised the FGS as government-aligned media outlets & influencers posted footage & information on the location of SNA forces. The full extent of the casualties & equipment losses remains unclear. The FGS has yet to issue a comprehensive official account of the reported developments. SNA forces are being used for political conflict. With attention away from AS, the group gain opportunities to launch unexpected attacks. It benefits from the war in SWS. #Somalia
