Today we're releasing the Segment Anything Model (SAM) — a step toward the first foundation model for image segmentation.
SAM is capable of one-click segmentation of any object from any photo or video + zero-shot transfer to other segmentation tasks ➡️ bit.ly/433YuBI

That didn't age well... who can spare $400 to reevaluate #GPT4 across all tasks 💸 😂
Minor Update: I just released a preprint "#ChatGPT may Pass the Bar Exam soon, but has a Long Way to Go for the #LexGLUE benchmark", where I evaluate #ChatGPT (gpt-3.5-turbo) on the LexGLUE benchmark datasets (papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.…). A 🧵 1/n

GPT-4 as your personal tutor on @khanacademy.
One of my personal dream applications (fun fact, I was at one point exploring starting a programming education company — always felt that more people would program if they had access to a great teacher).
Did you hear? 👀 Khan Academy is using GPT-4 from @OpenAI to shape the future of learning.
Starting today, you can sign up to test our AI-powered guide, Khanmigo. A tutor for learners. An assistant for teachers.
Come explore with us! ✨

🤯🤯Well this is something else.
GPT-4 passes basically every exam. And doesn't just pass...
The Bar Exam: 90%
LSAT: 88%
GRE Quantitative: 80%, Verbal: 99%
Every AP, the SAT...

GPT-4 was truly a team effort from our entire company, but the overall leadership and technical vision of Jakub Pachocki for the pretraining effort was remarkable and we wouldn’t be here without it

here is GPT-4, our most capable and aligned model yet. it is available today in our API (with a waitlist) and in ChatGPT+.

it is still flawed, still limited, and it still seems more impressive on first use than it does after you spend more time with it.

California should NOT go backwards on opening up legal markets for access to justice. There is just no way retrenching is explained by anything other than lawyer self-interest exerted as budget threat on the Court
1/7: Dear @SenatorUmberg & @AsmMarkStone, I read your December 7th letter and signed a reply. I believe you are acting in good faith. The California Justice Gap Study suggests at least a third of your constituents in your respective areas faced legal problems without any help.
