In this spontaneously breathing patient, significant increase in vein diameter (presumably with valsalva) is NOT suggestive of elevated RAP. Every method has caveats but that's a reasonable conclusion based on the given image.

Reasons why you must be scanning your patients👇🏻 We really need to stop “cookbook” resuscitation. Each patients anatomy and physiology is different and POCUS should be used to better guide treatment/therapy/withdraw therapy

So proud of NSU Orlando PA Class of 2023. They will go on rotations knowing ultrasound guided central line placement. Learned modified Seldinger technique, US guided needle placement, and US guided central line placement all in one day. Love teaching PA students love my job!
Life of a traveling POCUS professor! Wait until it’s procedures day with all the phantoms and toys. May need 2 rooms.

It's impossible to teach everyone @sathNHS about IV fluids so going to put it all on youtube. Think a video lecture series will be better than 1 massive lecture. This is going to take a while but will be well worth it in the end. @SaTHImprovement @Fluid_Academy #patientsafety

Burnout is real and it’s affecting millions of health care workers. To everyone who's been on the front lines of this pandemic: we see you, we appreciate you, and we have your back. It is time for our nation to take care of those who have cared for us.
