Trump added $11 trillion+ debt during his 2 terms, how about crying about those interest payments ($1.05 trillion). USAID's annual budget before its restructuring was approximately $43 billion to $44 billion, a drop in that bucket o spendings.
The irony of all the attacks on @elonmusk over DOGE is that cutting government spending and regulation is the solution to the cost-of-living crisis
Prices went up so much because the government spent trillions in 2020 and 2021 and the Fed printed the money to pay for it
And the things getting more expensive the fastest are the most regulated: housing, healthcare, and education
TVs, software, cellphones, and toys got cheaper
Elon Musk and DOGE would have made life more affordable for Americans if they were allowed to cut spending and get rid of unnecessary regulations
Breathing a sigh of relief listening to American voters who flipped because of the tariffs on Canada, which hurt their businesses, but also that they liked doing business with us and weren’t behind betraying what has been a friendly relationship until now.
Watching the rise of a new archetype born of these times: the internet people. They speak in a new jargon, carry new flavours of bitterness and cynical presumptions, and overly high value on aesthetics of things. This new archetype is the enemy of healthy committed relationships.
