I remember the first time I saw Rene “Le coup au cœur” and what emotions it made me feel before, I could spend hours or even days drawing one project, simply because I wanted to and could allow myself to drown in this beautiful path of searching and digging. first, you look -you carry this feeling with you, think about it a lot and for a long time, maybe you forget about it completely, but then something finds you again and you return to it - as if some thread from the air is tickling your head - and you think, I still need to catch it. you don’t know what will come out in the end, maybe you have an idea, maybe there are shapes and stains in your mind, but no - it is a mystery - it is a process that you need to go through - that you want to go through. you come back, you look at other images by people who, in your opinion, were touched by the same thread at some point - and you’re like, mmm wow yeah, these guys got it - they definitely knew. you read, you look, hmmm we are similar - I don’t know in what way, but I’m on the same wavelength today I feel like this is slipping away, the world is becoming faster -maybe I’m in my own bubble, but I definitely don’t feel the same way I used to + I’ve grown covered in prejudices, opinions, noise around me - I’m not complaining, but this is what happens when you’re no longer a teenager with nothing to lose. there is something beautiful in that and in this too, you need to find it and hold on to it you need to find time for yourself and your own thoughts - otherwise who are we? boxes filled with noise, not links in a chain of connection - and how are you supposed to catch the threads then? the rose is fragrant air, but how can it be so cruel?
