Clinging to a hillside, this walled town is wrapped in pink-hued stone and medieval mystery. It’s one of Spain’s most beautiful secrets.

I never cease to be amazed by the realism and sophistication of the paintings created over a period of 20,000 years by prehistoric artists on the ceiling of the Altamira Cave, Spain. Discovered only in 1868, here’ a bison and a deer whc.unesco.org/en/list/310/

The Roman Aqueduct in Segovia, Spain. A spectacular feat of Roman engineering, built to last almost 2,000 years ago without the need for mortar!
It supplied water to the town until the 20th century.

ALT My photo shows a view of the Roman Aqueduct in Segovia, Spain. I took the photo from half way up the steps at the side of the structure and looking along its length. It was taken on a fine October morning in 2021. Small figures of people can be seen walking in the street below. Houses across the valley can be seen through the upper arches of the aqueduct.

#Barcelona's streets are beautifully decorated with flowers and you can watch the traditional ‘sardanas’ dances and ‘castells’, human towers, in squares such as the Plaza Sant Jaume.
What's your favourite book and who would you share it with? 📖🤔
