Karoline Leavitt reveals what President Trump told her when critics said she was too young to be the White House press secretary.
MAHER: “So is there anything that could make you... not be loyal to whatever he was doing?”
LEAVITT: “He was my boss, but to me, he’s also a friend, and he gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. I mean, I don’t think I’d be sitting on your show right now if not for him giving me that chance.”
“I’ve also seen him behind the scenes, as you have, and I know his heart... He’s been nothing but kind, uplifting, encouraging. He did name me the youngest press secretary ever, and a lot of people told him he shouldn’t.”
“He told me that. He said, ‘Honey, lots of people said you were too young, and I told them I was building buildings in Manhattan when I was your age, and you can do it.’”

🇭🇹🇸🇻 Bukele SHOWS the force heading for Haitian gangs after they took his men 🔥
About 100 special forces have already landed to join the search.
When a leader who already wiped out his own gangs starts sending troops for hostages, the message to everyone else in the region gets pretty clear.

🇭🇹🇸🇻 El Salvador SENDS special forces to Haiti after 4 men go missing.
About 100 troops head to Port-au-Prince to search for aviation technicians ambushed by gangs, including elements linked to 400 Mawozo.
Bukele warned that failure to return them alive would trigger a stronger response.
Haiti’s gangs control large parts of the capital, marking the first major hit on the new international force.

In nominating Her Excellency Lana Nusseibeh, for UN Secretary-General, the UAE is offering the organization a candidate who knows its strengths and its limits from within. She led our mission in New York for more than a decade and twice presided over the Security Council during our term in 2022 and 2023.
The next Secretary-General will need the trust of capitals that seldom agree, and the patience to build on the little they share. Those of us who have worked with her at @mofauae, and at @AGDAUAE through her role on its Board of Trustees, know this has long been her work.
She goes forward with the full confidence of our leadership, and with ours.

I am standing to be Secretary-General because I believe this is a moment to act with greater urgency: to act earlier, bring people together across difference, and drive the work forward until it produces concrete results. That is how we rebuild trust in the United Nations and ensure it delivers meaningful change for the people it exists to serve.

There is something deeply wrong with a political system that allows one trillionaire to buy his own personal U.S. Senator.

The power of water is awesome. Paraguay and Brazil harnessed the power of the mighty Paraná River at the Itaipú Dam, one of the world’s engineering marvels. This project was only a dream when I lived in Paraguay as a boy in the 1970s, and it was a true joy to visit the completed project now as US Deputy Secretary of State.
And it was even better to visit with Paraguayan President @SantiPenap to announce that US investors have signed a deal to build a data center nearby drawing on the abundant hydroelectric energy. This deal has the potential to be the largest foreign private investment in Paraguay’s history and thus to deepen the longstanding ties between our countries. 🇺🇸🤝🇵🇾
