.@DelhiPolice has laid down clear conditions for Diwali 2026. Now, let’s as concerned citizens & parents, help ensure they are followed. Supporting the police means supporting enforcement, not just sharing advisories. Illegal sale of crackers, non NEERI approved products, missing QR codes, banned series crackers, sale outside designated locations or time slots, document & report every violation. Citizens must become the eyes and ears of enforcement. Don't look away. Don't stay silent. Our children's right to breathe matters. To report⬇️ •112 – Immediate police assistance. •14547 – Report suspicious activity. •Email: [email protected] Do try to share the location, date, time and photographs/videos of violations with the authorities. Do not confront sellers, violators or put yourselves at risk.
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy💙 @CPDelhi

When people start to drop dead because of air pollution like they did in COVID, air pollution will become a priority issue. Or else it won’t.

Delhi has nearly 100 mechanised road sweeping machines, yet only 35–40% of major roads are cleaned mechanically. The rest? Often swept manually, kicking dust back into the air we breathe. @CAQM_Official talks of dust control, but where is the enforcement?
Look at the dust and pollution along this stretch from RK Puram to Munirka due to road construction. This is on Swami Vivekanand Marg, and the dust has been hanging in the air for over a week now. I have never seen a dust haze this thick. @MCD_Delhi @gupta_rekha Should we choke ourselves to death.

No PUC, no fuel/50% WFH/Construction bans/Parking fees doubled. Every winter, Delhi gets an action plan. What’s actually new? The pollution isn’t. The announcements aren’t. But enforcement & all year round action to work on the sources of pollution will be the change maker!
Delhi is acting early and firmly against winter pollution. From 1 November to 31 January, non-Delhi vehicles below BS-6 norms will not be allowed to enter Delhi. No valid PUCC, no fuel. The Winter Action Plan will remain in force from 1 November to 28 February, with construction and demolition curbs, AI-based site monitoring, 50% Work From Home and staggered office timings. Cleaner mobility through EV buses, Metro, last-mile connectivity and carpooling will support the effort. For our Right to Breathe, every action matters. Our Delhi, Our Responsibility. #ViksitDelhi

RT @Warriormomsin: “Green” only in name. Ground report via @gargiiishukla @htTweets from Delhi’s firecracker markets confirms what mothers…
Over 32,000 Stilt+4 approvals in Gurugram over 7 years. But are we getting the basics of urban governance right? Hon’ble @mlkhattar ji, CM @NayabSainiBJP ji, @TCP_HARYANA & @dtcphry: Before adding density to occupied neighbourhoods, please ensure infrastructure capacity keeps pace with population growth. Introduce cleaner construction techniques, strictly enforce construction-dust norms, and mandate effective demolition-dust containment, including compliance during traditional stone-cutting and other dust-generating activities. Stop illegal malba dumping and remove the mountains of construction debris choking Gurugram. Most importantly, improve ambient air quality in residential sectors and protect residents from the daily burden of dust and pollution. We have already written to CAQM on these concerns. CAQM has, in turn, marked our letters to MCG and HSPCB. Why demolish relatively recent homes and burden settled colonies when suitable new areas could be planned and developed with infrastructure in place upfront? Plan S+4Flr in new sectors wherein activities can be planned without causing structural damages and dust and noise pollution in well settled neighbourhoods. मकान बनाना रियल एस्टेट का काम है; शहर बसाना और उसे रहने लायक बनाए रखना सरकार की ज़िम्मेदारी है। CC: @punjabharyanahc 🙏 @CAQM_Official @CPCB_OFFICIAL @Haryana_spcb @DC_Gurugram @MunCorpGurugram @Vedmalik1 #Gurugram #UrbanPlanning #CleanAir #CleanAirBharat @IndianExpress @AB_Hazardous

The irony died a million deaths! 🙈🙈 Messages on pollution, Ravan being set alight, fireworks lighting up the sky… and then GRAP-1 kicks in as Delhi’s air quality deteriorates. Delhi’s AQI jumped from 179 on 20 October to 245 on 21 October…a sharp rise of 66 points in just one day! And this is just the trailer! Imagine what will happen when millions burst so-called “green crackers” this Diwali. “Green” does not mean pollution-free. Burning crackers still releases smoke and particulate pollution into an already polluted atmosphere! If Delhi is restricting vehicles that don’t meet the prescribed emission norms from November to January in the interest of cleaner air, why not bring the same urgency and spirit of innovation to our celebrations? Why not seriously explore firecracker-free festivities, spectacular laser and light shows, and cleaner alternatives to traditional effigy burning? If people are being asked to change how they travel for clean air, surely we can rethink how we celebrate, too? Clean air cannot be a selective priority. We cannot regulate emissions on our roads while treating seasonal bursts of pollution as inevitable. At least try. Pilot it. Show us that celebrations can be spectacular without adding to the pollution crisis. What’s stopping us? 🙈 @gupta_rekha ji @mssirsa ji @CAQM_Official @CPCB_OFFICIAL @byadavbjp ji @PMOIndia #DelhiPollution #CleanAir #Diwali #GRAP1 @LiveLawIndia @LivelawH @barandbench

Gurugram has all the ingredients for a high-pollution mix and thus recipe we have perfected- repeating it day after day, year after year. Dear @CAQM_Official @CPCB_OFFICIAL Please let us know what should residents do to get the situation 📍Sector 23A dust-filled road along a 1 km stretch, from the traffic light to Shamshaan Road and Janam Divas Park Road. We don’t doubt the capabilities of our authorities. But without adequate resources ; manpower, machinery and money…how will this ever get the attention and action it needs? @MunCorpGurugram @OfficialGMDA @DC_Gurugram @HspcbS @Haryana_spcb @csharyana @RaoNarbir @DC_Gurugram #Gurugram #AirPollution #RoadDust #DhoolDhua #CleanAirBharat

As doctors raise concerns about the health impacts of firecracker emissions, the question is simple. Can we call crackers “green” when they still pollute the air our children breathe? Follow the medical evidence, not the marketing. #GreenSmoke #LetUsBreathe
Dear Supreme Court bench, please decide if we will breathe this winter or choke as usual! Fire crackers are terrible and should be un- invented. The air pollution, the noise pollution have become an annual crisis in North India Ban all crackers October to March #airemergency
