Gee. This is SO surprising. If only we had some way to prevent measles infections. As of today: "There are 607 confirmed measles cases in the U.S. so far this year, according to CDC , far surpassing the 285 measles cases recorded in the entirety of 2024."
David Geier will study autism and vaccines for RFK. Great choice: Geier and his father have testified as expert witnesses in vaccine suits more than 100 times; they have been reprimanded repeatedly by Judges who have stated they are wholly unqualified to speak on the subject
I should have read Fire Weather by @JohnVaillant when it was published. I didn’t but I have now. Anyone who has any interested in why Los Angeles - and to some degree - the rest of our planet is burning needs to read this brilliant (and terrifying) book.

Why does the @nytimes refer to @RobertKennedyJr as a vaccine "skeptic?" A skeptic questions the validity of ideas or assertions put forth as facts. Nothing wrong with healthy skepticism. RFK is an anti-vaccine activist. Facts don't matter to him.He is dangerous- even deadly.

Worth remembering that in the frenzy of stories about how AI will kill us all it might cure us all first.
After a patient saw multiple physicians and neurologists over 6 months and was assigned a diagnosis of #LongCovid, a relative entered her symptoms into #ChatGPT with the correct output. Diagnosis was confirmed by antibody testing and therapy has been initiated.
