Making games is hard. On the third anniversary of Alan Wake 2, here's the funniest bugs we sent to the Dark Place.

Now that we’ve shared it, I can show y’all the banana skin wine we’ve been making at work. This has been completely new for me and I’ve been enjoying learning about the process a lot

This is the only version of this speech that has ever brought me to tears. Scott delivers it not like a grand Shakespearean actor, but like a friend who is admitting to you that they’re thinking of killing themself. It’s so natural and so heartbreaking.
Andrew Scott delivers this speech too slowly; I know some viewers will hate the way he breaks up the verse. AND YET even in spite of that I think this is the best delivery of this soliloquy I’ve ever seen.
He makes it sound like it’s not a portentous speech everyone already knows but a morally serious real-time deliberation, by a highly intelligent person in extreme pain, considering what it would mean to end his own life.

Even if it’s not romantic, I’m just glad Dylan was able to form another genuine connection outside of his bond with his sister

Every dev needs to watch this episode on Control Resonant about how to make a game that actually trusts the player.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s open-world, semi-open-world, or linear—good level design should give players the freedom to observe, explore, and figure things out for themselves.
Putting yellow paint everywhere is lazy.

Got another "I don't like your game because Snorpy and Chandlo are gay" emails. If you are going to do this please remember Lizbert and Eggabell kiss in the first few minutes of the game and are gay gay lesbian gya gaaayyyyy. It's called media literacy.

I’ve told this story before, but when I saw Blade Runner 2049 in theaters the projector burnt out but no one in the audience noticed for several minutes because it kinda felt like a bolder dramatic choice.
Here’s my attempt to recreate how it came across.

Alan Wake 2 had literal math equations for puzzles. I'm not exaggerating, at one point I had to grab a pen and paper to solve an equation just to get 5 pistol ammo and a flare. 💀
Remedy is the anti-Sony slop, they DO NOT GIVE A FUCK about how lost the player will be lmao

huge respect for macklemore
Promoters have pulled Macklemore from Ed Sheeran’s tour after he called for a “Free Palestine” on stage:
“We have been notified by venues on the upcoming U.S. tour dates that they will not allow a concert to take place with Macklemore on the lineup”
