Barrow Stones. As good a place as any to be with @dpfellrunners on a Wednesday night.
No, it doesn’t cast doubt. It disproves it. Journalistic caution on the BBC’s part during an election campaign is understandable. But caution in pursuit of balance goes too far if it changes the story.
This was great fun yesterday for our @steel_valley volunteer team. Here are Pete (R) and the gaffer Tom (L) putting their backs into raking the seedbed while the dragon looks on, ready to breathe fire…
…Ethel will be in @TripPointBrew stockists from early March, and will appear at @SheffBeerWeek and @theoutdoorcity Festival of the Outdoors. As @cprepdsy reaches 100, please raise a glass with us to our founder Ethel Haythornthwaite and her outstanding achievements. Cheers!
Sometimes it’s tough being a @cprepdsy trustee. I’ve had to cycle all the way to @TripPointBrew to sample the gorgeous new ‘Ethel’ IPA that they’ve brewed to help the charity celebrate its centenary this year. It’s on cask in the brewery bar, and in cans available to take away…
Don’t wish to be a pedantic killjoy, but how can a building be #bloodyiconic if it doesn’t yet exist and its purpose remains to be established??
Even the lettering on a municipal wheely bin can look quite striking in these stunning winter conditions.
My new @Petzl headtorch - grouse-blinding 1500 lumens + more technology than you could shake a heather twig at. I remember @dpfellrunners pioneering night running with this torch’s ancestor - bulky, dim with a flat bikelight battery, + a strap that sagged to your waist when wet😬
@cprepdsy have created a great route round the Peak District fringes. It takes you to places you might otherwise not visit, and in doing so takes some of the pressure off one the world's busiest national parks. And here and there it features some decidely exotic place names...
