*OPEN REPLY TO THE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND AND THE DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT ON THE ASABA KILLING*
We have read with pain and anger, the statements by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, and the Commissioner for Works and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on the killing of one person and injuring of five others along Nnebisi Road, Asaba on Saturday during a peaceful procession by the Obidient/OK Movement in support of Mr. Peter Obi.
We condemn the killing. But we reject the attempt to blame the victims for their own murder.
Let us be clear: *This was not a coincidence. This was not a mere "clash." This was a conceived action plan.*
*1. A Conceived Plan To Attack, Harm And Silence The Opposition*
What happened in Asaba is part of a deliberate, well-planned strategy to continuously attack opposition parties, expose them to harm, and then use that same violence as an excuse to declare " *no street rally."*
The pattern is now too clear to ignore:
First, deny the opposition access to public facilities — stadiums, fields, halls, schools town halls, etc.
Second, when they are forced to use the road, which is their constitutional right, allow thugs to attack them.
Third, after the attack, the Police and Government will come out to say "we warned them" and "they should have used a designated venue."
Fourth, use the bloodshed as justification to ban opposition rallies altogether.
*That is the plan. Attack them, blame them, then ban them.*
The ultimate goal is not peace. The ultimate goal is to use state power to bar the NDC and other opposition parties from campaigning in Delta State, while the APC campaigns freely everywhere.
We see it. Deltans see it. Nigerians see it.
*2. If you had intelligence, what did you do with it?*
The Police said they received intelligence suggesting a likelihood of violence before the procession. They said they invited the organisers and advised them to cancel.
That is not policing. That is abdication.
If you had credible intelligence that an attack was being planned, your duty under the Police Act and the Constitution was to:
- Identify the planners,
- Arrest and interrogate them,
- Deploy men to protect the procession,
- Secure the route,
- And prevent the attack.
Why was no one arrested BEFORE the attack? Why was no suspect picked up? Why did you wait until after one Nigerian was killed and five injured, to now say investigations are ongoing?
Intelligence without action is useless. If you knew, why did you allow the killers to strike?
Or was the intelligence itself part of the plan to warn the victims, not the attackers?
*3. Why is the security report always negative only when it is the opposition?*
Whenever the NDC, Obidient Movement, or any opposition party wants to hold a rally, suddenly there is a "security threat." Suddenly the Police advise them to cancel or go to a "designated venue."
But when the APC holds its rallies, road shows, and open street processions in Asaba, Warri, Ughelli and other towns, there is never a security threat. There is never a warning. There is never a police advice to cancel.
Is violence only possible when the opposition gathers? Is APC immune to security threats in Delta State?
If the Police are truly neutral, let them publish the security reports for APC rallies in the last six months. Let Deltans see if the same warnings were given.Until then, this looks like selective policing to suppress the opposition.

DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND
PRESS RELEASE
CLASH AT A POLITICAL RALLY ORGANIZED BY OBEDIENT/OK MOVEMENT IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF NDC IN ASABA: POLICE COMMENCE INVESTIGATION, ADVISE POLITICAL PARTIES/SUPPORTERS AGAINST ROAD PROCESSIONS
The Delta State Police Command has commenced a full-scale investigation into a violent incident involving supporters during a political rally organised by the Obedient/OK movement in support of the presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asaba on Saturday, 7th November 2026, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to five others.
2. Prior to the rally, the Command received an intelligence report indicating the likelihood of violence and consequently invited the organisers to a security meeting. During the engagement, they were briefed on the identified security threats and advised against holding an open road procession. They were further encouraged to conduct their political activities at a designated venue where appropriate security will be provided for them. However, the organisers ignored this important security advice and proceeded with the road procession.
3. At about 1215hrs, a violent incident occurred along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, during which one person lost his life and five others sustained injuries. The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained. Upon receiving a distress call, police operatives mobilised to the scene and took the injured victims to the hospital for medical attention. Security was subsequently reinforced in the affected area to forestall further breakdown of law and order, while investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible.
4. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel E. Erale, psc, mnips, condemns the violence and reiterates that political parties are free to conduct lawful campaigns and other political activities. He, however, advises all political parties and their supporters to avoid road processions in the interest of public safety and to liaise with the Police ahead of any political gatherings to facilitate adequate security arrangements. The CP assures residents of Delta State of the Command's commitment to a thorough and impartial investigation and urge anyone with useful information to contact the Command through the following phone numbers; 09155570008 or 09155570007.

GOOD DAY, MR PRESIDENT: NIGERIANS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY
Good day, Mr President.
I congratulate you on spending a night in one of Nigeria’s states outside Lagos and Abuja. I hope you enjoyed the warmth, hospitality, and delicious cuisine of Akwa Ibom, which I am sure is even better than those of the destinations where you have spent over 260 days outside Nigeria since coming into office.
I sincerely hope this visit will inspire you to travel to the remaining 33 states of the federation, spend time with the people and, more importantly, explain what your administration has done with the ₦15.8 trillion saved from the removal of fuel subsidy, the over $100 billion you have borrowed, the increased revenues accruing to the government from taxing Nigerians, and the additional government revenues which your administration celebrated last year as having surpassed its target.
Nigerians deserve to know how many that were pulled out of poverty within this period, how many out-of-school children were returned to school, and how many functional primary healthcare centres you have built. They also deserve to know how much electricity supply has improved, especially given your promise that if you do not fix power, Nigerians should not vote for you. They deserve an explanation of how you have secured the country, which still ranks among the most terrorised countries in the world.
Mr President, Nigerians deserve answers. They deserve to know what has been done with the resources entrusted to your government.
The New Nigeria we want to build will be based on accountability, transparency, and the physical, measurable impact of our public resources on the lives of citizens.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

This is a useful distillation of the new pseudo-progressive Islamism.
First, he promises "Jewish safety."
Never mind that Jews don't require that their United States senator keep them "safe." They want to know that their rights, like those of all Americans, will be protected. But his comment has a maternal, almost kindergarten ring to it; it makes Jews, especially younger Jews steeped in the language of safetyism and trauma, feel "heard." He's giving them the ammunition they need to call older Jews "Islamophobic" every time someone brings up the Muslim Brotherhood.
Then, he pivots to the big lie, stating that we spend billions on "genocide and apartheid." By now, this is leftist orthodoxy, so there's no need to explain or defend, even though there was never, in fact, a genocide, and it's hard to square his accusation of "apartheid" with the Israeli election that just took place, an election in which Arab candidates and parties played a bigger role than ever. Nor does he mention that Arab Israelis enjoy a level of political and economic participation mostly unheard of across the Arab world. Nor does he mention that the Palestinian Authority recently canceled elections (once again) and that Hamas hasn't bothered to hold an election ever. Nor does he concede that the U.S. has just announced an end to military aid to Israel. (Does this mean we can stop talking about Israel? Obviously not.)
Finally, he says what all populists, irrespective of partisan stripe, like to say, which is that "nobody wants to talk about" whatever they're talking about -- as if to suggest that only the senator-elect from Michigan has the cojones to tell the truth about the "genocide." Please. Gaza was the leftists' obsession of the 2026 election cycle. It was the divining rod with which they decided who made the proverbial cut. One had no choice but to talk about it, to use the right words, to adhere to the agreed upon script. Just ask Scott Wiener and Nithya Raman, both of whom were forced to grovel before the gods of the new radicalism to win.
The question we should ask is: Why does El-Sayed lie? If he were simply interested in protecting Jewish rights and Palestinian lives, there would be no need for that.
MSNOW: What is your message now to Jewish voters nationally and what you will do to protect them?
Abdul El-Sayed: I’m committed to Jewish safety, and we are united against discrimination. The U.S. spends billions to carry out genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. The genocide in Gaza with our complicity is continuing right now. Nobody wants to talk about that.

“Under my leadership, anybody who kidnaps our children and goes into the forest, we will go in there with them.
Go and ask what happened in Akpaka Forest when I was Governor of Anambra State, when it was being used to keep kidnap victims. I went to meet President Yar’Adua and said, ‘Mr President, there is a forest in my place. I want to demolish that forest, and I’m going to use air and land to make sure no animal comes out of that forest.’
Go to Onitsha today; the best estate we have in Onitsha is Akpaka Forest.
No forest in Imo will anybody use for kidnapping again. We will be very decisive.
Under Kwankwaso and me, we will declare an emergency on corruption. The greatest problem of this country is people stealing public money. It cannot continue. Public money must be used for public good.
If you want to be a businessman, go and make money outside government, not in government.
People will say corruption will fight back. Give us the opportunity; we will bury corruption. It will not be allowed to fight back.
We must end corruption because that is what is destroying Nigeria.”

This was a disturbing and deeply embarrassing scene in Gaza City today during the funeral of a man killed in an Israeli airstrike for allegedly being affiliated with Hamas. Members of his clan fired thousands of rounds into the air, initially causing panic and confusion among residents who did not understand what was happening. The spectacle of armed men recklessly discharging weapons sparked widespread anger and contempt among many Gazans, who viewed it as yet another example of the destructive behavior of powerful clans in the Strip.
The incident renewed calls to disarm Gaza's clans and militias and remove weapons from civilian hands to reduce crime, curb intra-Palestinian violence, strengthen the rule of law, and break patterns of behavior that fuel radicalization, intimidation, and the dominance of armed actors over civil society.
Many Palestinians bitterly note the irony that these same clans and armed strongmen, so eager to display their power before fellow Palestinians, tend to disappear when confronted by the Israeli military. Time and again, tribal militias, criminal gangs, and other armed actors avoid direct confrontation with the IDF, yet readily turn their weapons on other Palestinians, whether against Palestinian Authority forces in the past or, at times, even against Hamas itself.
There should be no tolerance for lawlessness. Neither "martyrs" nor their families have the right to terrorize an entire society in the name of archaic notions of honor, death glorification, or tribal privilege. Hamas and Gaza's powerful clans alike must be disarmed, for the sake of Palestinians and Israelis alike.

Are you prepared to have your mind blown?
I’m not joking. Sit down for this and get your blood pressure meds ready.
Osama Saadi, who is part of the Joint list that is estimated to have between 10 and 15 seats in the upcoming Knesset is not just disloyal to the state of Israel.
Ready for this?
We, the Fuld family are suing the Palestinian authority for paying a salary to the family of the terrorist who murdered my brother.
We are in the middle of the lawsuit.
You sitting down?
Guess the name of the lawyer who is representing the PA in the lawsuit?
If you guessed Osama Saadi, you’d be right.
Let me say that again slowly.
Osama Saadi, a lawyer that represents the Palestinian authority and who defends their right to the pay to slay program, aka the PA paying terrorists to kill Jews, is a member of a party that now has 10-15 seats in the Israeli parliament.
But sure, get angry at me when I write a post that these people and any Arabs not loyal to Israel should not even be given citizenship, let alone be allowed in the Knesset.
This man supports Palestinian terror and he does it formally and officially and he will have influence over the future of the Jewish state.
I don’t have any words.

Not that I think we’ve lost it, but the moral high ground never defended a nation threatened by enemies that seek its annihilation. Obama is confusing national security policy with theology. The Jews do not need to die on a cross for your approval.
Obama on Israel:
If the attitude of Israel is, "Now that we are the strongest, the most technologically advanced in the region, then our security will depend on us simply doing whatever we need and taking whatever we want, and not making any concessions to anyone," that may work short-term.
But you have ceded moral ground if that is the position you take.

Every autumn, around 40,000 to 50,000 Great White Pelicans migrate through Israel from Europe to Africa.
Israel is their last major feeding stop before crossing the Sinai Desert, with each bird consuming roughly 1 kg of fish daily.
To prevent the birds from raiding commercial fish farms, Israeli authorities deliver truckloads of fish to designated feeding sites, including the Viker Reservoir in central Israel.
The birds feed, regain energy and continue their journey south.

IDF battlefield medicine has cut combat casualty mortality rates in half — from 15% during the 2006 Lebanon war to 7.1% during the Swords of Iron campaign — and the U.S. Army is now studying Israel's methods to overhaul its own wartime medical capabilities.
The advances include placing doctors in every company, carrying blood plasma on first responders' backs in coolers, and deploying a real-time data network so every medical officer in the chain can see patient information instantly. Advanced life support that once took 15-20 minutes to reach a casualty now arrives within 4 minutes.
A 78-page U.S. Army report published in April recommended American forces absorb Israel's lessons immediately, warning that 'the time for preparation is now' and that 'simply possessing clinical and tactical skills is insufficient.'
