We had the honor of having the Mayor of Kesennuma City, Shigeru Sugawara (@goahead_shigeru), and the President of the Kesennuma Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Akihiko Sugawara, at our final demo day. In total, 80 people joined us. Hiro (@7pastelblackcat) from MynaWallet (@MynaWallet) and Mameta (@mameta_zk), who runs JPYC EC, shared their solutions working with other municipalities and local communities. This year, 9 builders from 4 different countries gathered. This year, with the improved version, they introduced what they worked on at ETHGlobal Tokyo and how it could work for Kesennuma to its officials. 🐟 A marketplace where you buy Kesennuma seafood with JPYC, and the money goes straight to the fishers — not lost in the middle. 🌡️ Parametric relief: when the sea hits extreme conditions (like temperatures staying abnormal for days), support reaches businesses automatically.
