NEW: Last school year, a 7th grader viewed 4,700 YouTube videos during class.
An 8th grader viewed 5,700 videos in class.
A 2nd grader viewed ~500 in just 2 months.
Less than 5% were educational.
@nbcnews analyzed the YouTube watch histories of students from across the country. My new story shows how far some take it on their school laptops and iPads -->

Unpopular opinion:
I don't go out of my way to build relationships with students.
I intentionally maintain professional distance.
I've found that when I focus on teaching well, maintaining boundaries, and creating a productive classroom environment, the relationships take care of themselves.

Honestly, "Six Flags Over North Ohio" being a potential rename for Cedar Point, and "Six Flags Over Ohio" being a potential rename for Kings Island might be the worst thing I've ever heard. – at Lincoln Village, OH

If the proper protocols for replay weren’t followed then the FBS Oversight committee should overturn the result of the game and make Western Michigan the winner of the game against Michigan.
Period. End of Story.
Saying “hey they got it wrong, but we won’t fix it” only makes it worse and is a slap in the face to the fans of football everywhere.

One of the biggest mistakes in math education has been the move away from practice and memorization. We're told memorization works against understanding. It's usually the opposite.
The more foundational knowledge students can retrieve automatically, the more working memory they have available to think about complex mathematics.

More than 60% of all power outages currently in America are in Michigan.
Pretty much every time there are minor storms, our state soars to #1 in power outages and stays that way for a while due to slow restore times:

There were 90 students enrolled in the Bowling Green marching band when Jon Waters arrived in 2022. There are now 600.
"After being dismissed from Ohio State — unceremoniously, I will add — I never thought I would be in front of a large band again," Waters said. "And I’m just so blessed to be at Bowling Green.
"It was one thing to help elevate a really good band to international regard [at Ohio State]. It’s been much more fulfilling to really build something from the ground up."
