Glad linemen and line wives are entering the discourse again bc this was the best distraction following 2021’s hurricane Ida: interviewing a “bucket bunny” in need of power nola.com/gambit/news/the_lat…
Currently going down the rabbit hole of “line wife” TikTok…I’m literally dying of cringe

Fascinating to again see a close @LAGovJeffLandry ally championing public records access. Two years ago, Landry’s administration tried to repeal Louisiana’s public records law almost entirely
The WBOK interview with @BayouMamaBears covered a lot of ground. Here, discussion centered on growing problems with public records requests being closed or denied at city hall — including those related to the AG's case. #lalege 🎙️ Full Interview: youtube.com/watch?v=ZBngjhy1…

I covered Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards' criminal justice reform effort--which decriminalized possession of marijuana, making the punishment a fine of up to $100. Landry and the GOP in the Legislature reversed that. theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/…

The public backlash against elected officials signing NDAs has been the most bipartisan thing I’ve ever covered. It’s almost apolitical. People really don’t seem to like it
What Secretary Bourgeois is saying is correct. The reporters are doing a good job sowing division & suspicion but if she publicized every prospect & discussion it would jeopardize most projects…which create JOBS. Those r the things that bring 💰 to people/businesses that pay for adverts that allow news outlets to pay salaries #lalege

yo this is fucking insane. i’m on a united flight that’s half full and we’re all crammed in the back half while the front half (the same seats but with a couple extra inches of leg room that they charge $50 for) is empty. they just got on to tell us takeoff is delayed bc the plane isn’t balanced and they need to move bags to the front. BAGS. they could easily move PEOPLE to the front & let everyone have a better experience, but they’d rather punish people for not paying the upcharge.

Here's the first NDA that Louisiana economic development officials signed with SpaceX, back in January. Documents I obtained show how far these nondisclosures spread as the state negotiated. (Thread)

New from me: I obtained 31 NDAs signed by Jeff Landry's administration and other public officials for SpaceX. They had previously withheld them from my public records request, citing ongoing negotiations. See who signed: nola.com/news/business/louis…

Overseeing New Orleans’ staged accidents trial, U.S. District Judge Wendy Vitter lets the jury leave early today. “Out of respect for Dolly Parton we’re not going to go past 9-to-5,” Vitter said. “We’re going to call it an evening and come back tomorrow refreshed.”

This is truly heartbreaking. Dolly Parton was an extraordinary person and an irreplaceable champion of the working class. We are a better country because of her.
