When @visegrad24 sat a Muslim Arab Israeli soldier named Yahya Mahamid down in Tel Aviv and let the audience ask him the questions everybody else talks around, and what came back was the kind of testimony the apartheid narrative cannot survive. He grew up hating Israel, his grandmother from Tulkarm called herself Palestinian, and after October 7 he was in an IDF uniform raising the flag and answering whether he was a second-class citizen, whether he had betrayed his religion, and whether the country he was serving was an apartheid state. His answer was that he is an Israeli who happens to be Muslim, that his grandmother was the biggest Zionist he ever met, and that the whole Palestine frame was never about the people it claims to speak for. No legacy desk was going to put that man on camera and leave the tape running, because the footage settles an argument they’ve spent years keeping open. That’s why Stefan and his team at @visegrad24 is one of my favorite accounts on X. His courage to bring the truth the rest of the media try so hard to keep hidden or simply invert is beyond admirable. From the first weeks of the Russian invasion through the videos out of the kibbutzim, he and his team have kept putting the raw material in front of people while the wires were still choosing which words were safe. Most outlets won’t risk that interview. Stefan did. And there’s nobody who could have done it better.

Asaf Rejuwan, one of the Israeli survivors of flight 1073 wrote on Facebook: ״I don't usually post on social media, but today I felt something burning deep inside me that I simply had to share. Ever since the incident where the terrorist's attempt to hijack the Flydubai flight was thwarted, there has been a lot of coverage in the media, and I’ve been asked many times what factors I believe prevented the terrible disaster that could have befallen our people had that despicable terrorist succeeded in his plans. Today, I think I received a very special and interesting answer to that question. Naturally, after the incident ended and we landed safely on the Land of Israel, I felt the need to thank many people... the passengers who cooperated, my lioness of a wife and all the mothers and fathers who protected their loved ones, the children who stayed composed, and every Israeli passenger on that plane. Yesterday, I was part of a group of passengers interviewed for an international channel. As each passenger went into detail about how they experienced the flight, we realized something very important- something you only understand when the dust settles and you get into the small details during intimate conversations among yourselves. We realized that every single passenger on that flight had a role, every passenger on the flight had a role. One passenger was responsible for communicating with Israel's security services I discovered there was a passenger on board who provided a mobile hotspot and made sure to share it with others Another female passenger sat and recited Psalms A passenger made sure to pass along headphone cords to tie up the terrorist Passengers kept track of where we were going to land using GPS maps An Australian passenger was the only one on the plane who could make calls back to Israel from an enemy country (Saudi Arabia) And the list goes on... And, of course, the amazing Yaniv, the wonderful Tzvika and Tali, the hero Shota, the great man Or, and many other great friends who lent a hand. I had no doubt that after such a great miracle, I would be attending synagogue on Saturday morning to recite the Birkat HaGomel (the prayer of thanking the God of Israel after a lifesaving miracle) I am not a religious person. I believe in God in my own way, and I don't usually look for signs in everything. But today, something happened that completely astonished me. Completely by chance, today in the synagogue I read from Parashat Devarim (Deuteronomy 33:26): "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to help you, and in His majesty rides the skies." אֵין כָּאֵל יְשֻׁרוּן רֹכֵב שָׁמַיִם בְּעֶזְרֶךָ וּבְגַאֲוָתוֹ שְׁחָקִים I read the verse, stopped, and got goosebumps, and so did all the other worshippers who knew the story and understood why I was there with them. After everything that happened on that flight, after the fear, after the storming of the terrorist, and after realizing how thin the line between life and death really was- finding myself facing those exact words, "rides the heavens to help you," was a moment I can hardly explain. I don't know if it was divine providence, a coincidence, or simply a moment that took on a profoundly deep meaning for me. But today, in the synagogue, as I recited Birkat HaGomel, I felt mainly one thing: Thank you. Thank you for life. Thank you for the miracle. And thank you for the privilege to stand here and tell the story. Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱״

You have noticed it. ChatGPT feels dumber than it used to. Your prompts that worked six months ago produce worse results now. The writing sounds flatter. The ideas sound safer. The internet itself feels like it is shrinking. Every article reads the same. Every email sounds the same. Every answer sounds like it was written by the same voice. You thought it was you. It is not you. Researchers at Oxford and Cambridge published a paper in Nature proving what is happening. They call it Model Collapse. Here is the mechanism in one sentence. AI trained on AI-generated data gets dumber every generation until it forgets what real human data looked like. The internet is filling with AI-generated content. Blog posts. Articles. Reviews. Comments. Social media. AI companies scrape the internet to train the next generation of models. Which means the next generation of AI is being trained on the output of the current generation. Each cycle loses information. Not randomly. It loses the rarest, most unusual, most creative parts first. The researchers call these the "tails of the distribution." The weird ideas. The unexpected perspectives. The things that made the internet feel human. Those disappear first. What remains is the average. The safe. The expected. The bland. Then the next generation trains on that. And loses more. And the next generation trains on that. And loses more. The researchers proved this is not a slow decline. Major degradation happens within just a few iterations. Even when some of the original human data is preserved. They tested it on large language models. On image generators. On statistical models. The pattern was the same every time. The output converges toward a narrow, flattened version of reality that looks nothing like the original data. The lead researcher put it plainly. "Large language models are like fire. A useful tool. But one that pollutes the environment." The pollution is invisible. You cannot see which sentence on the internet was written by a human and which was written by AI. Neither can the AI that is about to train on it. And once the tails are gone, they do not come back. The damage is irreversible. This is not a prediction anymore. It is a diagnosis. The internet you grew up on was built by humans writing things no algorithm would have written. Strange, personal, imperfect, alive. That internet is being diluted. One generation of AI at a time. And the models trained on what remains are learning a smaller and smaller version of the world. Model Collapse is not a technical problem. It is a cultural one. The thing that made the internet worth reading is the thing that disappears first.

This is a reposted AI-generated video. Capybaras regularly are 100+ lbs while armadillos are ~15 lbs. An armadillo physically cannot support a capybara on its back. Today, June 1st, is the anniversary of the Farhud, a 2-day massacre of Baghdad’s Jewry that led to the eventual exodus of Jews from Iraq to Israel. In 1941, Nazi ideology incited the Farhud, a massacre against the Jews of Baghdad. Hundreds of Iraqi Jews were murdered in this extension of the Holocaust The Farhud and Kristallnacht are so similar: violent massacres against Jews incited by Nazi ideas that sparked the expulsion and mass murder of Jews from their countries. They really should be taught together. My own grandmother, Hela, lived through the Farhud. She finds it difficult to speak about that time, but she has shared her story with me. She always prefers to speak about Iraq before the Farhud, the place she loved so dearly. On the first day of the Farhud, my grandmother was at a cafe that I've come to know through her stories. On June 1st, 1941 she was there like always. Suddenly, she heard screaming. She turned her head and saw a man screaming “Kill the Jews” in front of a woman with eight children. One was just a baby. To my grandmother’s horror, he began shooting. One by one, he shot the little children as their mother screamed. He saved her for last. The cafe owner grabbed my grandmother and hid her in the backroom until my great-grandfather came to fetch her. They went to a neighbor’s house, a kind Muslim family who were equally horrified by the frenzy of hate. All night there was screaming and crying. Glass shattering. My grandmother could not sleep. The next day, she watched in horror as a disabled Jewish teen was brutally raped. The man then broke a glass bottle that he used to continue violating her. My grandmother did not speak for the rest of that day. She could only weep inconsolably. My grandmother adored Iraq: the streets she grew up walking, the neighbors her family counted as friends. But she was not safe in Iraq after the Farhud, nor was any other Jew. This is my history. It's also the history of most of the Jews living in Israel today. A majority of us are the descendants of Jews who were violently expelled from the Middle East and North Africa. I will not “go back” to Poland, nor will I advocate for the destruction of Israel, the one place my grandmother felt safe after she had to witness such horrors.

The gradual erasure of Jewish heritage and history on the English Wikipedia continues. An editor is now systematically redefining many inscriptions from Jerusalem dating from the biblical period as primarily “Canaanite inscriptions.” He even removed the word “Hebrew” altogether from a Paleo-Hebrew seal found in the City of David. Control over language and terminology is control over history itself.

Didn’t think we’d wake up to clear skies. After sandstorms, arson fires, 3,000+ acres burned around Jerusalem, & a city on lockdown — today feels… normal. Or at least the illusion of it. What does “normal” even mean anymore? How do we carry on when the ground keeps shifting?

Today is the *saddest* day for Palestine. What most people don’t understand is that Palestinians live in fear. Not just fear of the Israeli army. But fear of themselves. As the deal takes effect, the streets of Gaza are now filled with Hamas terrorists who remain in power. And as long as they are in power, average Palestinians live in fear of uttering the word: “coexistence”. Moderates fear extremists. And true peace will only come when the roles are reversed. When extremists fear the moderates. We need the moderates in power. Until then, I'm afraid the cycle of war will repeat. Again. And again. Palestine needs to be free. Free from Hamas. And free from extremists.

There’s a lot of attention being paid to the hostages, and rightfully so. There’s a lot of attention being paid to the number of prisoners Israel is releasing. There is zero attention being paid to the families whose lives these “Prisoners” ruined. Let’s not forget who these people are. They are murderers who destroyed families. This is my brother’s murderer. Pure evil. My brother was grocery shopping. This monster came from behind and stabbed him in his neck. Ari chased him down and shot him, injuring him as he was about to murder his next victim, a woman named Hila. Then Ari died. And this is my brother’s son at his dad’s funeral. These aren’t prisoners being released. These are monsters.
