Royal Free Hospital @RoyalFreeNHS Gave me severe PTSD and robbed me of much of my self worth. They knew I wasn’t a candidate for outpatient hysterscopy but attempted anyway having lied about wait times for GA. They then made me feel like my pain was my fault. Never again

I've been looking at research on #outpatient #hysteroscopy, who will experience pain, how bad will it be, what can be done to "lessen" "minimise" pain OTC meds,VR, Music, water pressure,heat-pads -endless. But none suggested #anaesthetic as the answer! Why? @BSGE @RCOG @GIRFT
The Campaign Against Painful Hysteroscopy's collected thousands of Outpatient Hysteroscopy short term, medium term & long term Patient Reported Outcomes (PROMS). @NHSGIRFT & @TheBSGE must stop pretending default Trial by OP Hysteroscopy minus anaesthesia is ACCEPTABLE.

🚨Palantir is so worried about losing its £330m NHS contract it's hired Labour's ex-deputy leader @tom_watson to step into Peter Mandelson's shoes as its lobbyist ⬇️

Sainsbury's has posted an annual profit of £1.02bn. It current has 10,000 young people working for free, paid by you. With £1.02bn it could hire 105,905 people aged 18-20 for 16 hours a week all year. Why not MAKE the scumbags hire instead of giving them free workers?

PIP is underclaimed because the DWP systematically denies it to people who need it, which is why 80% of rejections are overturned on appeal. Let’s talk about the £30 billion or more every year in unclaimed tax through rich people tax dodging before we target vulnerable people eh

😡😡It is offensive that Thames Water could be bailed out and then allowed to hike our water bills AGAIN, beyond the 36% average hike by 2030 already approved Our director, @CatHobbs, has written to the government to block the bill hike and take water into public ownership vist.ly/5nte7

Here’s Hysteroscopy risk of pain in graphics at the best selected clinics on selected patients using the BSGEs very own survey. This was then used as evidence but called research in RCOGs guidelines .@NHSGIRFT have set targets for 90% diagnostic to be done in outpatients.

i had a biopsy of my cervix taken without numbing medicine because most male doctors believe women have no pain receptors in their cervix and let me fkn tell u somethin
I just went to get an IUD consultation at a gynecologist and she goes, we can do it here, but just so you know, we don't numb. We won't numb your cervix here. And I go, why? And she goes, because the doctor at this clinic doesn't allow it. And I said who is that doctor? She pointed towards a male gynaecologist & said “dear even if I request it, he won't allow it”. And then i asked that male gynaecologist why he won't allow it, he told me because apparently, according to him, that's actually not even where the pain's coming from. So it doesn't even make sense to numb the cervix. i said its painful and he replied “its a part of being a woman”

I 100% support this petition asking @RCPsych to stop diagnosing children with personality disorders. When my diagnosis was changed from bipolar to borderline in my late 20s, there was a noticeable shift in the way medical professionals treated me. My behaviour hadn’t changed, but the whole atmosphere was different. I was taken less seriously, treated less kindly and generally pigeonholed as ‘difficult’. As the petition says, I can’t see any benefit to attaching such a stigmatising label to a child. A diagnosis is not required to help young people access evidence-based care. Please sign and share!
Please sign. Please share. Children should not be diagnosed with a personality disorder. We’re asking the RCPsych to stop using this label in children. Link below.

royalberkshire.nhs.uk/media/… Due hysteroscopy at Royal Berks @RBNHSFT? The patient leaflet claims outpatient hysteroscopy "is not generally painful" (sic) Please read on. Audits show the average pain score is 5/10 i.e. considerably painful. You are entitled to choose GA.

TODAY is the People vs Palantir – International Day of Action Private firms should be nowhere near our NHS patient data. Palantir's NHS contract expires in February 2027. You can help ensure the NHS does not renew its contract. Find an action near you: vist.ly/5kk7c

Treating what amounts to internal bleeding with CBT. I fucking knew it when I saw the article on the news this morning. Society will stop at nothing to minimise women’s pain. Even a disease visible to the naked eye just needs “self compassion” and abit of mind body psychotherapy

I sat through a research conference (largely studies re: MSM) where the male researchers giddily told us about pioneering work on using “VR technology to manage pain associated with vaginal examinations and smear tests”. I found their enthusiasm for this just bizarre.
