Maddow: "What they want least of all is to realize that half the country went to bed sad tonight but then woke up tomorrow fired up with a new sense of purpose knowing that apparently this is what we're on this Earth to do as American citizens in this generation."

Awkward... they can't find enough people who support the bill to speak. Shouldn't that tell you something @KimReynoldsIA?

It's urgent. We have three weeks to slow down the spread to save lives and help Iowans more safely celebrate Christmas and other holidays. Please stay home if possible, mask up when out, keep your distance, and speak up for more action by Gov. Reynolds.

This is how to control COVID. Iowa, please take note.
Excellent, evidence-based, nuanced action from Michigan. This is exactly the kind of action that can best balance saving lives and preserving livelihoods. We know how to bring the economy back to life. We don't know how to bring people back to life.

I read an obituary today in the Gazette for a 56-year-old Iowan in Benton County who died of coronavirus, after taking care of her mother who died 12 days ago from coronavirus.
Two of the 1,842 Iowans who have died from this deadly infectious disease.

Despite what we’re still going through after 9 months, Trump continues to diminish the pain felt by so many who have lost loved ones and the first responders, nurses, doctors and hospital staff who have put everything on the line to fight this virus. 1/

To young voters out there, some of whom have asked me why they should vote, when they’re just one among millions?
Voting can be a very empowering experience! Making your voice heard, being part of something bigger than yourself. Do it for yourself. Because YOU count, too.
