Made a few static concepts for Spacegoods
Been working on a few cool things, can't wait to share more in the next days :)
Alrighty so here are my takeaways from finally reaching 100k in static ad spent in a month
- Be specific with your copy, use customers' language. You can literally find those through research (testimonials, Tiktok videos), no need to always come up with new copy
- Use illustrations, 3D images, cartoon characters, etc to demonstrate your problem. No one wants to keep seeing a product + a headline. Make your ad visually stand out!!!
- Simplicity is key. One core message per ad.
And my final advice is... use Claude AI to help you out, NOT to do the thinking for you.
Use it to speed up the research and learning process, not to replace your own thinking. Ask Claude to pull Reddit reviews, give you a daily breakdown of competitors' organic and paid content, or quiz you on awareness levels so you actually understand what you're doing instead of just using AI blindly
AI gives everyone access to the same information, it's what you do with that information that matters :)
Your static ad literally has one second to get its message across
One of the ways you can achieve that as a brand is by exagerating the problem visually
You need to make the problem soooo visually obvious that people understand what your product solves before they even read the copy
Here are some statics that I made that do exactly that :)
Finally hit $100k in static ad spend in a single month for one brand 😎
Wasn’t easy at first, but I did it!
Will share my takeaways in the next few days 🙂
Problem aware ads have been a huge hit for me as of now
At this stage, the customer already knows they have a problem, so the ad cannot be about the product. What the customer needs is to feel understood and seen.
When I first started, I tried the basic generic ads that we all see everywhere:
- Struggling with …?
- Say goodbye to …?
- The secret to …?
Unfortunately, that didn’t work! But what’s been working is noticing those tiny moments the customer already deals with and addressing them
- The extra layer of concealer they put
- The extra long list of things they already tried
- The habits they built to hide their problem
The BEST way I found to be attuned to those moments is through Tik Tok. Tik Tok is literally a gold mine when it comes to research
Still learning every day, but this one was a game changer! Can’t wait to share more :)
I've been a creative strategist for 3 months now and the first ads were quite humbling
Getting my first winning ad was the hardest part
Consistently testing angles, desires, awareness levels
After producing 300+ ads, I'm finally seeing patterns in one of the brands I work for:
- Show the problem moment, not the perfect moment. Example: Skincare industry, don't always show glass skin. Spice it upppp, show real skin (textured, aging, acne, etc)
- Be specific. Real timelines + real numbers over vague promises
- Open loops in the headline
- If your audience has heard every single claim from the competitors, you need to say something NEW. Explain the unique mechanisms of your product. Don't repeat the same overused marketing claims
Now that I'm building from data, the job got way easier (and way more fun!)
Still learning every day, more to come!! 🙂
And I'm back documenting my journey on X!
But this time... as a creative strategist :)
I've been doing static ad design + creative strategy for 3 months now and it's been such an exciting journey
LOTSS of learning, late night research, testing angles and visuals
The past few weeks I've been getting winners and the one advice I would give myself three months ago is to not be scared to try different ideas. Don't always play it safe, execute out of the box ideas and shoot higher
Really excited to share my journey!!
Getting ready for BFCM and Trendtrack has been a must 😎
They literally just launched a mode specifically for BFCM, you can view all your favorite brands' ads + emails and landing pages from last year's BFCM
I started by making a board of 2025 BFCM ads for supplement brands. I first selected the option BF & sorted by longest active. Here's the board link: app.trendtrack.io/en/share/b…
Making ads for BFCM just got wayy easier
Here is how I find winning static :
Trendtrack
Media : Type image
Status: Active
Active since: 60+ days
Niche: whatever I'm writing for
Sort by: Ad Rank
If a static has been running 2+ months and still ranks, the angle is already validated
Designed some statics for @tryarmra 🤠
Had so much fun designing these!
Some fun mockups for @drinkpoppi
Love their colourful branding!
I've been using Trend Track for a couple weeks and the thing I keep coming back to is how fast you can hop between industries
This is how I use it: Niche: Beauty & Care, Status: Active, Since: 30+ days
Then I run the exact same filters on supplements, then apparel, and save anything I like into folders
The cross industry thing has been reaallyyy useful. Best beauty ad concept I’ve had this month came from a supplement brand I saved last week
