For Lillard to match Steph in both 3PT and 3P%, he'd have to hit another 1,206 threes... at a 62% clip! Harden could hit his next 800 threes IN A ROW - and he'd still be behind Steph in both volume and efficiency!

This should've been figured out months ago. A massive indictment of W leadership that it's gotten to this point.
There will definitively be a Game 6 of the WNBA Finals in Atlanta. But nobody knows yet where or even when the game will be played despite a furious round of negotiations spilling into Sunday between the WNBA, NBA, Valkyries, Dream and Atlanta Hawks, sources told ESPN. "There are problems with all the solutions," one source close to the situation said. What else we know, with @ramonashelburne espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/502…

This is a pretty remarkable quote three games into the season
Zach LaVine on how long it takes for a team to gel on both ends: "Sometimes it's organized from the top down. Sometimes it's organized from a certain player on the team, like a Chris Paul... a very high-level leader... It can come from a veteran coach or even a bench coach." “But we're all working through it. We don't really have any of that right now, and it's not going to come anytime soon. So, as a collective, we need to figure out what's everybody's strengths..."

Really interesting thread on the 2-for-1 strategy
Last week I had the unexpected (and unbelievably neat) opportunity to chat with a former NBA coach about which analytics questions interest him. He mentioned that he was skeptical of the presumed infallibility of the end-of-quarter 2-for-1 strategy. So, I took a closer look.

LeBron James on what the Sixers need to do to fix their rebounding woes: “In the great words of Taurean Prince … the ball goes up into the air, and then you go grab the ball …”

Matt Barnes' 7-year-old son is 5'2" and wears a size 10 men's shoe… And KG's mind is blown by what "Little Diesel" does on the court 😳🎯 New KG CERTIFIED with Matt Barnes is out now on YouTube.

Kerr's like, yeah I can talk too rookie 😂
Steve Kerr on Yaxel Lendeborg's defense: "His weak-side awareness right now is very poor. And with his size, he should be one of our best defenders at the rim. And right now, he's unaware on the weak-side"

FTs are for losers who *don't* make 5 3's a game

21 minutes with Trae Young off the court ORTG: 113.41 on -> 102.33 off TOV%: 14% on -> 30.2% off
The Wizards desperately need a ball handler when Trae Young is sitting - the offense is incredibly turnover prone

If every one of the 164 games the Hornets and Wolves play is going to be a referendum on LaMelo, I'm out. The two teams are at completely different stages! I'm gonna love watching LaMelo on the Wolves, but still understand Charlotte's decision.

When a white dude on the Lakers wins MVP but it isn't Luka
WALKER KESSLER DOES IT AGAIN 🚨 After going 12-12 from the field with 10 dunks (most by a Laker since Shaq) in his debut, @WalkerKessler13 delivered a dominant all-around performance to push LA to 2-0! 22 PTS | 10-14 FGM | 8 REB | 3 STL | 6 BLK

Amen showing off everything here - footwork, instincts, insanely fast leaping ability, and then the coordination to meet the ball without fouling. Preposterous play.
MAYHEM AT THE END OF ROCKETS-SPURS IN AUSTIN 🍿🍿🍿 DYLAN HARPER POSTER. AMEN THOMPSON BLOCK. ROCKETS WIN A TEXAS THRILLER 🚨

This is an awesome idea - a chance to own a specific day and time, and build grassroots fans
The NBA should consider having one game each week on a Friday afternoon. Make it a big event in the city that is hosting that week’s game. They would have a window all to themselves each week — especially for teams that don’t get much exposure. Primetime in Europe too.

This is such a better example of “welcome to the NBA” from Joakim Noah than a superstar dunking on him. I wanna hear about how Chris Kaman busted his ass so much more.

Blocks / 75 possessions for their career: Derrick White 1.2 Wade 1.0 MJ 0.9 Shai 0.9 (and this will probably go down a bit as he gets older) So SGA is way up there, but not quite the best
Shai is the best shot blocking guard ever

Pay attention to Maxey on this pick-and-roll, just a great job of peeling off the ball handler and taking away the passing lane to Mobley

#Rockets matching Reed minutes with Smart and/or Amen. Opposing teams will continue to involve Reed in early shot clock ball screens, and the Rockets will counter by trying to execute scram switches (like below) or hard hedges or blitzes.
