Dave Doeren just gave a 17 minute masterclass in how we as a society should handle adversity. The easy thing to do was just nothing, hide and wait for things to blow over. The next easiest thing would be to give into anger or resentment.
Dave chose the hard route. Acknowledge your disappointment but pay your respects to a community you built brick by brick.
It's just a great reminder that if you want to criticize Dave for everything he didn't do, you need to appreciate everything he did.

We want to thank Coach Dave Doeren (@StateCoachD) for the 14 years of dedication, service, and effort he poured into our University and our football program.
Coach Doeren raised the expectations of @PackFootball, created countless #PackPros, developed hundreds of young people & leaders, navigated an ever-changing #NIL era with grace & ease, and won the most games in #NCState Football's history. Not to mention, he and his family have displayed extraordinary generosity toward our University in support of the greater good.
It's with a mixture of gratitude and sadness that we bid Dave farewell, but wish him the best on his next step, as we know football is just one part of his life's journey as a man, leader, husband, father, and more.
Thank you, Dave. It's been a heck of a ride. You will always be a member of #WPN.

I'd like to offer my sincerest condolences to the Amato family, NC State, and Wolfpack Nation on the passing of Chuck Amato.
As a native North Carolinian, I know how much a fixture he is to State and others. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

1. Destroyed the Western alliance? Putin wanted that.
2. Threatened a NATO ally over Greenland? Putin wanted that.
3. Pulled out of the intermediate nuclear pact? Putin wanted that.
4. Withdrawing 25-40,000 troops from Western Europe while Russian bellicosity is rising? Putin wanted that.
5. Russian satellites giving coordinates to Iranians killing our soldiers, and his response is “they kill us, we kill them”? What American president says that?
I think he’s been compromised.

It was a great blessing and privilege to play for Coach Amato! He created an environment filled with belief, unity, toughness, hard work, discipline, perseverance, and much more. I’m seeing a lot of what he instilled in us during those years at STATE being lived out by my PACK BROTHERS!
He has greatly impacted my life and consequently my children’s lives because of the great man and coach he was!
He will be missed!
