A little while ago, X reminded me I’ve been running this account for 5 years..
It all started with just posting interesting stats. Then I got into making football content around them: a stats advent calendar, a digital map of every stadium RFS has played at, and plenty of other stuff I don’t even remember anymore :)
After that came the idea for RFS.team, one place for all the club’s stats: every player, every match, every competition. Since then the site has gone through a lot of updates, with new features, new sections, and advanced stats on top of the standard ones (xG, xA and all that).
Then this year, I was buying a ticket for a game, kept missing the tiny dot for my seat on the zoomed-in map, and thought it would be nice to make the whole thing easier. That’s when the first version of tickets.rfs.team came out. The feedback from everyone who used it was incredibly positive, so I decided to build an even better version with new features for next season.
But then X reminded me about the anniversary, so instead of waiting until spring 2027, I decided to release a limited beta of the new ticket platform right before the last home game of the season. Just a small bonus, and a good excuse to celebrate :)
🏟 The site now has a shorter, nicer address: RFS.tickets. It also has a desktop version now, and.. there’s a 3D view from every single seat in the stadium! Pick a seat and see exactly what your view will be. Or just walk around the 3D stadium and find the view you like best.
🎟 And for anyone coming to a game for the first time, I added a feature that picks seats for you. Just tell it how many tickets you need and what type (adult or kids), and it’ll find the best seats available.
By next season, I’m hoping to add a lot more features to make things better for fans and bring even more people to the stands :) I love how @RFSDaily turns every game into a family celebration, and I’d like more people to be part of it 💙
Stefan Panić didn't just score yesterday's winner, it was also his 2nd best performance of the season, and, just as importantly, it earned him two personal badges on RFS.team!
🚀 First, “Bounce Back” (one of the most interesting badges). After a 7.30 vs Liepāja, below his average, he came back with an 8.20 in Daugavpils - a full 0.74 above his pre-match average of 7.46.
⚡️ And with a 7.56 average over his last 5 games, he's in the club's top 10%, which got him the “In Form” badge as well!
One more thing: Stefan is now the 4th player in @RFSDaily history to pass the 200-game mark. Incredible. Keep it up, Pana! 💪

Good news for those who missed out - a small batch of Sector B tickets just went up. Last chance to be there tonight :)

Sadly, that's the end of the European road for RFS this year, out after just 6 matches. Much earlier than we've gotten used to (2 group-stage runs and a play-off round exit in the last 4 years), but yesterday's second half showed that when push comes to shove, this team can show real character and take the game to a serious opponent from a stronger league. A bit more luck in the first leg, a bit more focus early in the second - and it could've been a different story. But that's football..
🔥 Still, last night was a milestone night for three people at @RFSDaily
First, the team took the field under Viktors Morozs for the 300th time! Under Viktors: 204 wins, 3 league titles, 2 Latvian Cups and a Supercup, plus two European autumns (and a bit of winter too - that January night against Ajax!😍). It feels like only yesterday he was stepping in on short notice to replace Valdas - and now he's got numbers like these to his name!
Speaking of Valdas, in the next two weeks, he could make it to the Champions League proper for the first time ever, and I'm always rooting for him personally🥹 He's the guy whose RFS press conferences I tried never to miss, and the one who first got me into football analytics and advanced stats. Really happy he's finally found the right club and that things are working out!
⚽️ Now for the players! Fittingly, both milestone men marked the occasion on the scoresheet: Žiga Lipušček scored in his 250th match for RFS, and the assist came from Dmitrijs Zelenkovs, playing his 150th in an RFS shirt. Two hugely important players in RFS history - and I hope they'll help the club clinch a spot in next season's Champions League qualifying :)
The biggest wins and the biggest numbers are still ahead! Here's one: just 2 more goals until goal № 900 in RFS history. This. Is. Just. Incredible!
📊 Match 150 for Ikaunieks (and he scored in it!), Ndjiki ending his 21-month wait for a goal in the blue shirt (you surely remember the Cup final against Auda 4:2😍). All these post-match facts and more are now live on RFS.team!
As always, the app gets regular updates - better UI/UX and small improvements, most of them unannounced. So come explore @RFSDaily history!
💯 Herdi Prenga made his 100th appearance for @RFSDaily today, becoming the 16th player to reach that mark!
💙 He joined the club three years ago and has since scored 7 goals, provided 2 assists, and won two Latvian league titles (2023, 2024), the Latvian Cup (2024), and the Super Cup (2025).
And the next player to hit 100 is already close, Isma has 98 appearances! 👀
The match against Daugavpils is already underway, but you can still get a ticket - whether you missed kickoff or just decide to head to the stadium mid-match. No restrictions!

P.S. While I was writing this tweet, I noticed that two more tickets were sold. So someone has already made use of this feature, wow!
