Mike arrived at @BarnSanctuary as a calf after a nearby dairy farmer was unable to provide the specialist care he needed to survive. 💔 He had bone deformities in both front legs, cataracts in both eyes, and blindness in one eye. Thankfully, the sanctuary team was able to correct his leg deformities with splints. 🥹 But sadly, restoring his sight proved much more difficult. Dan, the sanctuary’s founder, travelled across the country with Mike to have the cataract removed from his remaining good eye. Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful. 😔 But Mike’s life was about so much more than his disabilities.
