Business growth starts with clarity.
Clarity starts with SIMPLE answers to these 5 questions.
1. What are building?
2. How does it work?
3. Who is it for?
4. How do you make money?
5. Why?

Neither Cartier-Bresson, Banksy nor Cold War Steve could have come up with such an image. Absolutely perfect composition and lighting (even the road signs are perfect)! 😍
bingo! thank you @SoniaBaschez
Silicon Valley keeps building me a husband when what I really want is a wife lol
I don't want an agent that only does one-off, random tasks that are nice but not life-changing: booking flights, making dinner reservations, or buying tickets
I want an AI wife who knows what’s on the family calendar, remembers there’s a birthday party Saturday and we haven’t bought a gift then sends me options, realizes we’re almost out of diapers and buys them, knows which bills are coming up, remembers someone needs a dentist appointment and books it, figures out what the hell we’re eating all week and what we need from the grocery store, and generally keeps track of the 47 things that need to happen before anyone else even realizes they need to happen.
So, who's building me an AI wife that carries the mental load instead of an AI husband that waits for me to give it a chore??

New markets have changed what people can trade and how.
In the last decade, blockchains have started lowering the cost of building markets, making it easier to experiment with net new ones.

The most valuable advice we got during YC was to explain our company using verbs instead of nouns.
Early on, I walked into a pitch and did the complete opposite:
“We’re reinventing the cloud for AI”
No one had any clue what that meant. I could (very painfully) see their eyes glazing over
Then I started saying this instead:
“Developers bring us their code and we run it on servers in the cloud so they don’t have to manage their own infra”
This clicked immediately.
People understand verbs - not labels.
And no one buys or invests in things they don’t understand.
"the not-quite-rich enough" is a great term..and a great new label for a consumer segment.

I downloaded Muse last week (for free) after being served an ad on Instagram. I only used it within Instagram to summarize my likes and saves for content creation purposes.
I am reluctant to give Meta anymore of my data and attention.
I am also reluctant to admit how much I liked Muse.
In his article below, Jacob Robbins points out that investors worry that Meta's coffers, distribution and access to compute will be hard to compete with, especially for startups.
Robbins argues that "Meta’s moat isn’t the underlying model. It’s what the company can afford to give away." That's true, but I'd argue distribution is the bigger moat.
Meta has access to 3.58 billion people in the apps that they already use daily/hourly. The network effect, especially the most powerful network effect in the world, is a killer for consumer AI startups.

Congress has not worked enough days in 2026 to qualify for SNAP, just in case you were curious who was actually sponging off our tax dollars.

IKEA has a team just for reactive posts on social. The brand's Responsive Project Team meets multiple times a week, has a dedicated cultural calendar, and runs every post through a checklist. So many brands say they want to move fast, but few build the infrastructure to do so.
