WHAT THE HELL 😭
We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/

Bob Ross is actually a perfect example to show why art lovers are unimpressed by AI art. Bob Ross is not famous for his paintings. He is famous for his videos in which he showed *how* he made his paintings. The process matters!

being 30/being a zillennial is really starting to fuck with me recently
i keep finding myself saying "that was 15/18 years ago" in conversation, and i keep meeting people who weren't even alive or were in diapers during my childhood and our cultural bases are so fundamentally different
a guy told me he'd never seen pokemon, digimon or yugioh because they were before his time
i found out that someone i knew when they were like 5 is having kids now
i keep hearing about all these youtubers from 2013-2017 as being fundamental parts of peoples childhoods and i have no idea who they are
its very unsettling...

🚨 US LAWMAKERS ARE NOW PREPARING FOR THE AI BUBBLE TO BURST.
House Democrats have introduced a resolution opposing government bailouts for AI companies if the industry crashes.
Instead of rescuing them with taxpayer money, lawmakers want failed AI companies to go through normal bankruptcy.
And the timing is extremely concerning.
Some of the world's biggest tech companies are investing billions into AI startups that spend heavily on their products.
• Nvidia invests in CoreWeave, which buys Nvidia chips.
• Microsoft invests in OpenAI, which spends billions on Microsoft's cloud services.
• Amazon invests in Anthropic, which uses Amazon's cloud infrastructure.
Billions are moving between companies that are becoming increasingly dependent on each other's spending.
And lawmakers are raising concerns about the growing use of borrowed money by Big Tech and Wall Street to finance the AI boom.
The resolution is not law, but it shows that some lawmakers are already worried about what happens if the industry collapses.
If AI startups run out of funding, they could be forced to slash spending or declare bankruptcy, leaving their investors and suppliers facing massive losses.
And without government bailouts, a major failure could spread across chipmakers, cloud providers, banks and the broader stock market.
The biggest risk is that one major AI bankruptcy could trigger losses across an entire industry worth trillions.

In DDD I think Ansem SOD was like, fine, I'll help you guys get Sora but then I'm disappearing with Riku and you're not going to ask any questions. Shh don't ask questions it's fine

Always thinking about riku knows too well the harm and trauma and lingering pain ansem can inflict on you and his drive to protect sora is so strong he unconsciously became the sleeping realm's version of a guardian angel to protect him from it.....
"You know what I'd really like?"
"Tell me"
"A gay romance"
"We can do a gay romance"
"A real gay romance, not a cutscene with a dude I barely see, no half-assed scenes compared to straight options"
"I'll make you a very good gay romance. Character development, music, cutscenes"

No idea why people use "I'm using it to cope with my trauma" as a way to explain why they make weird art. The fact it's fictional is already enough, you don't need to start telling these strangers on the internet that you're traumatised. Just airing your business for no reason
