How many of tonight’s team get in the NL promotion wining team?
Maybe 2 of the back 5, front 5 are no better, and Naylor / Mandy still here
Realistically how many of the Chesterfield players do we think are good enough to be top 3 at the end of the season?
You won’t name many if the back 5 that’s for sure.
21 goals conceded so far in 14 league games tells you the issue.
Defensive issues have been our down fall for the last 2 seasons and same again this year. Not just the centre backs at fault but my god they are poor
I know we like our wingers to invert but it would be lovely to see both Koroma and Markanday be able to actually cross a ball.
45 minutes to show some character. Still believe in PC but his players have let him down. This team up there with the best CFC team attacking wise but the worst defensively. We were better with Horton, Grimes, Palmer & King
Any players in that starting XI with a pair of bollocks? A round of ….. need giving in the changing room at HT.
Simply miles off it.
Will continue to back Cook but that is a horror back the whole of the back 4 + Gk.
We won’t get top 7/top 3 with that defence. Plus still no pace out wide
Wide open defensively. Simpson, Pond, Pearce and Hutton miles off it and getting no support from midfield.
Great football team but bullied by teams that are bigger and stronger.
Watching Man Utd, there attacking 4 are so slow to get back in to shape when they lose possession. Rashford always 5 yards behind.
Not hard to sprint to recover

A message from the league
🚧😂 RESPECT BARRIERS, THEY’RE NOT ELASTIC! 😂🚧
They’re there to give our kids a bit of space to play the game they love, without an audience close enough to shout tactical instructions directly into the centre-back’s ear! ⚽️😂
We get it… you want the best view. But unless you’ve brought your own corner flag and a pair of boots, please take a step back! 👀😂
And if you’re absolutely desperate to get that close to the action, we’re happy to point you in the direction of an open-age team. You can get right on the pitch then… and discover that the offside rule applies to you too! 🤣🥅
Grassroots football relies on respect, for the kids, the coaches, the referees, the volunteers and each other. These barriers help keep a safe space around the pitch, so please let them do their job without turning them into a bungee-jumping experiment! 🙏⚽️
P.S. No respect barriers were harmed in the making of this photograph… although one may have been stretched to within an inch of its voluntary service! 😂
Much like our grassroots volunteers, it’s doing its absolute best with the resources it’s got! 💚👏

Heard the term soft underbelly said about Chesterfield by PC a few times now. Something needs to change and quick. Goals against column should be better. More aggressive defending and a better GK to start
Banks best player on the pitch tbf to him.
York looks fitter, faster & stronger but do have a very similar team to their league winning team last year which benefits.
Let’s hope we are a slow burner (not to slow) but would love the energy the have from their front players here.
