Ibrahimović already scored two goals. Yet the crowd inside the stadium was chanting, “Messi! Messi!” Messi wasn’t even there. Who knows where he was? Still, they were chanting his name. The whole point was to get under one man’s skin. Human beings are strange creatures. Sometimes, they bring up one person’s name just to provoke someone else. Sweden needed just one more goal for Portugal to be knocked out of the World Cup. Ronaldo did what he always does. He made a run. Then another one. Two goals in just two minutes. A hat-trick. The entire stadium went silent. All those people chanting “Messi! Messi!” suddenly had nothing left to say. After the match, journalists approached Ronaldo. He simply said, “I’ve done my job.” As if he had just signed some paperwork at the office and was heading home. My Messi-supporting friends often take shots at me. They say, “Your Ronaldo never won the World Cup.” I usually say nothing. I’m not very good at arguing. But here’s the thing: I didn’t need a World Cup to admire him. I didn’t need 8 or 10 Ballon d’Ors. I didn’t need anything. He is Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s it. Nothing more is needed. There is an island called Madeira. A small island. And from there came a boy from an ordinary family. He had talent, but he never relied on talent alone. He worked hard. Inhumanly hard. When he lost, he cried, right in front of everyone. When he won, he celebrated with a roar, also in front of everyone. Most of us hide our tears and even our happiness. He never hid either. Maybe that’s why he feels so close to our hearts. Today, I heard that he has decided to hang up his country’s jersey. For many, his story ended incomplete because he never got to lift the biggest trophy of all. I’ve always had a soft spot for unfinished stories. When a story is complete, people close the book and go to sleep. But an unfinished story stays with you for a lifetime. It’s easy to gain fans when you win. Everyone wants to stand beside a champion. But to inspire millions to fall in love with football without ever winning its biggest trophy, how many footballers have done that? I honestly can’t think of anyone! Goodbye, Captain. Many win trophies. But there will only ever be one Cristiano Ronaldo. ❤️

tbh, the athleticism of the Arsenal players is very very questionable. we were second party to every loose ball and some players can't even spread legs beyond 2cm for a pass We earned the result tho.... Fair game 😎

If your logic is that TypeSafe shouldn't build Jev just because people can clone it, then I guess you just shouldn't build anything ever

Built in Nigeria. Ready for the world. Today, I want to celebrate @milsat_africa, founded by Taslim Saluadeen and Adedamola Baderinwa, the Nigerian company behind the technology powering our new National Digital Postcode. From delivering a pilot in 2023 to building a national system, Milsat demonstrates the depth of Nigerian technical capability and our ability to create infrastructure that improves public services, supports businesses and opens up economic opportunities. Their work extends beyond postcode. Milsat supported the National Population Commission’s mapping of more than 65 million properties in preparation for Nigeria’s first digital census, and has deployed enumeration area demarcation technology in Sierra Leone. This is the ambition I want us to nurture: Nigerian companies building solutions for our needs, proving their capabilities at home and taking that expertise to the world. With appreciation to @NipostNgn, Meeds Network Limited and the National Population Commission for their roles in this journey, today’s spotlight belongs to the Milsat team. I look forward to seeing you help many more countries turn location and field data into better services for their people. #NigerianExcellence

Launching Nigeria’s National Digital Alphanumeric Postcode System is the first step. Its true impact will come as we weave it into how we live, do business, connect with one another and deliver services across every corner of our country. Every postcode should mean something tangible: a customer reached, a delivery completed, a community better served, or emergency help arriving where it is needed. In the days, weeks and months ahead, my office will work with @NipostNgn and key actors across government, business and the technology community to embed this new national asset in our everyday lives. So to our developers and innovators, let’s build on it. The API ( You can find documentation here - docs.postcode.gov.ng) provides a foundation for integrating the postcode into the products and services Nigerians use every day. So go on and register your organisation: dashboard.postcode.gov.ng/re… and start building. To access the API: 1. Create an organisation account. 2. Submit your Know Your Business (KYB) documentation. 3. Request API access, specifying the access level you need. 4. Receive staging tokens to develop and test your integration. 5. Complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with NIPOST’s technical and compliance teams, where required. 6. Receive production tokens and go live. I also want to hear your ideas. How can we embed the alphanumeric postcode in commerce, transport, healthcare, agriculture, emergency response and community life? What would you build, and what problem would it solve?

70% of drivers/cyclists would not be able to keep straight beyond 5 seconds in the dark on a straight road. Is there a theoretical explanation for this?

Telegram has applied for the .gram domain zone. If the application is approved by ICANN, a billion Telegram users could get their own second-level domains — yourname.gram. Users would be able to set up their interactive websites hosted by Telegram — with one prompt ✨
