@amykdebellis and I have now joined forces to form our own editing company, @DeBellisBlackES providing high quality and bespoke line, copy, and developmental editing to fiction writers of all abilities across all genres. In an increasingly chaotic world, where AI slop, shameless scammers, and mindless bots are taking over, we are proud to provide an oasis of literary calm, where real writers can have their original work reviewed and improved by real editors who care passionately about human creativity and the ancient art of storytelling. Please follow our new account, repost, and help spread the word. Thank you.

I hope this message finds you unwell.

So who died and made you Judgey McJudgerson?

Flooding my veins with Diet Coke and coffee is the only way to get through this bleakest of Monday mornings.

Waking up and realising I’m still a Manchester United fan is not the greatest of starts to the week.

Getting out of bed at 5.15am is not for the faint-hearted.

My daily quest of trying to find a matching pair of socks has commenced.

Good Morning from Northern Ireland ☘️

Been a tough week writing and editing wise. Could really do with some good news on either front soon 😔

Coffee of the Day ☕️

Aren’t I pretty?

Has a novel ever got you through a particularly tough time in your life? 📚

There are too many people on social media who just sit and criticise those who are trying to work hard, be creative, and make something of their lives. They are lazy, cynical, and sly. I’ve seen it increasingly in recent days, and the damage they cause is immense. I can only conclude that they get a kick out of it because their own lives are so empty and lacking. Shame on them and their vile and pathetic attempts to hurt people whose shoes they aren’t fit to lace.

When your job is on the line, dropping your club captain and best player is a massive risk #mufc

I think I need to buy this.
