🔍 THE STOLEN BADGES OF NON-LEAGUE
Following on from Motorway Services FC, it’s now over to you……
Which other non-league badges are so crap they look like they’ve been stolen from somewhere else altogether??
Here’s a few examples:
Ascot United - ZX Spectrum Game 🕹️
Frenford FC - Leisure Centre 🏊♀️
Shrivenham FC - Sports Direct T-Shirt 🏴
Worcester Raiders - Ant Powder ☠️

Has any panel had a wider remit in sport than the ECB's Cricket Regulator? Half expect them to rock up to sanction me for how I pitch throwdowns to my 6yo.

Worcestershire spent £160 on a helicopter to try to dry out the outfield in a bid to get their NatWest Trophy semi-final against Sussex underway, August 13th 1986. Play did start but after 5.2 overs rain returned and ended play for the day. The game extended over three days with Sussex running out winners

Headingley IS hosting an Ashes test next summer and the fact an official cricket media outlet doesn’t even seem to realise is embarrassing. You don’t have to be an avid fan of the women’s game to appreciate that

Yesterdays emergency alert was valid. Following hot dry weather the threat of this being repeated is extremely high.

While #cricket is on F2A now, the #ECB have backed the wrong horse / thrown the baby out with the bath water (take your pick) in order to make it happen.
Hopefully, @andyburnham has a vision that involves eliminating the #elitism that is what holds the game back the most.

Sad to see the stands half full for T20 Finals Day despite the reduced capacity. Used to be the highlight of the domestic calendar until the ECB killed this format in favour of the dreaded Hundred 😢

Panama v England is the World Cup’s only group-stage match where both countries have seen disastrous attempts at Scottish expansionism.
Scotland tried to colonise what is now Panama in 1698 (Darien Scheme), but bankruptcy followed. Scotland invaded England in 1513, but King James IV was killed at the battle of Flodden.
Stay tuned for more cutting-edge, geography(ish)-based World Cup analysis.
(I hope my fellow Scots will forgive this painful trip into the past, but I couldn't find one geographic similarity between them.)
