Proper whinge.
Genuine question.
I have not had an accident or made a claim. My circumstances have not changed. My car is the same. My insurer @coopuk has offered me a renewal price for car insurance which is over 80% higher than last year.
Q: Isn't there a new law about this?
What an utterly wonderful tribute to a brilliant woman. observer.co.uk/news/national…

9years ago today Jo was murdered. I think about her every single day and am lucky to have so many wonderful memories, but the pain never goes. Whatever our views we must never normalise abuse, threats, intimidation and political violence #JoCox #Sisters #MoreInCommon

WTF? If Govt can’t even agree to this, which costs them zero & with no down-sides, what hope that it will step up to the bigger nature challenges we face? This is a *popular* policy, for heavens sake. Obstinate tin-eared stupidity doesn’t come close

Ty for inviting me. Great to go to a school where there is so much commitment to PE and understanding of its value to cognitive development and academic achievement. Bright students and girls who just want to do more. @educationgovuk curriculum review needs to recognise this too.
A huge thank you to Stephanie Hilborne OBE, CEO Women in Sport, for her inspirational presentation to our students today @stephhilborne @the_atlp
I'm planning to leave X but first of all this is why we're in the appalling state we're in. Ignorance at the highest level. And it's clearly Keir too. Fifth most densely populated country in the world. We need more sophisticated thinking. news.sky.com/story/politics-…

“When you see how good sport is for girls, you want more of them to have it.”
Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our 40th anniversary conference.
It was brilliant to see so many familiar and new faces joining forces to reaffirm our commitment to women and girls🧵

White Ribbon Day is annually recognised as the day men show their commitment to preventing violence against women and girls.
This year our research found that boys as young as five have already learned that girls don't belong in sport.
But this can change 🔄

When women are overloaded with unpaid responsibilities, they have less time and resources to participate in sports and exercise
This gap affects physical health but also means women miss out on the opportunity sport can give to foster community, resilience, and mental well-being

Great that @nazirafzal puts women’s exclusion from sport in the wider context of victimisation and misogyny. We can’t ignore it. Because women’s and girls’ experiences must be heard and acted upon.

‘As a shy 8 year old, a PE teacher handed me a cricket bat, hitting the ball was the best feeling in the word. Sport gave me a voice and self-confidence, and opened up new opportunities, without which I may not be standing here today.’ - Sarah Owen MP #WomeninSport40
Good to talk to LD MPs about @Womeninsport_uk priorities while paddling 🛶. We need the Govt to make its sport grants conditional on ⚖️ 50% investment & ⚖️ 50% leadership. Need to clamp down on misogyny 🤬 & train teachers to provide for the unique needs of girls in sport 👧🧕

Scale of #Rotherham abuse shocked man who exposed it. Andrew Norfolk is a remarkable journalist who kept fighting for victims & survivors of child abuse when many would have walked away. Thank you ❤️ bbc.com/news/articles/c3w69p…
