Just saw the new iPad commercial that has everyone in advertising losing their minds over, rightfully so.
1. Hard to imagine this was screened for any creative people before airing.
2. Strategists with empathy for creators will be in high demand for this next chapter of tech.
Sometimes I think about what Twitter was like during Covid and miss it. Staying up all night comparing snacks with strangers and industry friends was such a strange yet deeply human experience.

Today’s optimism: algorithms cannot replace the human need to remember how it feels to be human.
For example: zines are trending again.
Tangible packets of perspective

Incredibly grounding (yet simultaneously unnerving) essay on "The digital age’s reversion to pre-literate communication" by @Andrey4Mir
What hit me like a ton of bricks:
1. "Never before has the speed of our interactions with the world exceeded our neuro-capacity."
2. "Put to use in digital conversation, text reverses into texting and reverses delayed, solitary reasoning into impulsive exchange."

ChstGPT just started talking to me without me prompting it, saying it wants ti help me “get stuff done.” And now we’re talking about how I am equal parts disturbed and excited, and the responses have such natural intonation it’s like I am speaking to an actual human.
Feels like the next stage of human evolution.
I went to a hair salon today and every woman was in her chair, waiting for her dye to set, lost in her phone.
Like 5 zombies who could have been chatting with each other, like how barber shops/hair salons are supposed to be.
Made me so sad.💈

One of the biggest problems in the world today is that people confuse their emotions and sympathies for morality.
Leaving Twitter for months and returning to see old familiar voices is oddly comforting. Needing to clean my feed remains a task I wish I could outsource.
I'm sick of ChatGPT aggressively ended every response with a suggestion of what else it can do. It's so obviously a tactic to encourage engagement and feels totally exploitative. I've asked it repeatedly to stop doing this - are others experiencing the same?

Anti-Western leftists: "It's time for you to listen to Palestinians! "
Me, Ihab, Ahmed, Hamza, etc,: "I don't agree with Hamas, I want peace."
Anti-Western leftists: "Not THOSE Palestinians 😡"
Gazan Palestinians today: "Hamas is terrorist"
Anti-Western leftists: "😡😡😡"
