Coinbase isn’t building its own perp engine. Instead, it is bringing Hyperliquid’s liquidity and execution directly into its consumer wallet.
This shows how powerful onchain perps have become. Coinbase says perpetuals now account for roughly 75% of crypto trading volume and are among the most requested features from Base App power users.
Coinbase integrating Hyperliquid is another major validation for on-chain perps.
If Hyperliquid can eventually unlock the U.S. market, integrations like this could become much bigger.
