They took us that day to the Alamo which was great and also a little shopping trip, the next day we visited Lyndon Johnson's ranch,
On the 3rd day we left Tucson for San Antonio, Texas, where we met up with Hugh and Marlene two of the finest Americans we know.
also visited an Indian reservation, quite an experience before arriving at the border, whilst returning we saw a spectacular Arizona sunset
Then the next day we visited Mexico and on the way visited the USA Graveyard for military planes there must have been 4 or 5 thousand
Whilst thee he took us to visit another RNF guy who lives there Mr Derek Kinney GC, also took us to tombstone and boot hill cemetery
We were met at Tucson by my Ex Royal Northumberland Fusiliers friend who lives there and stayed 2 nights with his hospitality,
To Amtrak trains railway 🚄 station for an overnight sleeper to Tucson Arizona where we arrived 3 hours late, that journey was a rickety one
The flight ✈ should have been 11hrs 20 mins but only took 10, Customs were great and we got through fast, then a Hour (expensive) taxi ride
The next day our 1pm flight ✈ with Norwegian Airlines was superb using the brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner for our 10hr flight ✈ to LA:-
USA TRIP:- OUR Train 🚄 Journey from Newcastle to Gatwick Airport went without a hitch, we overnighted in Days Hotel 🏨:- to be continued
