The Wall Street Journal reports that Republicans had planned on making New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani the face of the Democratic Party in an effort to paint Democrats as out of touch.

Months after telling @MacFarlaneNews he would beat Mike Rogers by 7 points, @AbdulElSayed did exactly that.
El-Sayed: They think that they’re going to be able to label me before I can label Mike Rogers. Now this is a guy who spent his time in Congress voting to raise prescription drug prices 60 times. Then he architected the legislation that created the opioid epidemic. Then he took a 14 million dollar payout as a pharma lobbyist and moved to Florida.
I’m going to eat that man’s lunch. I’m going to define him in ways that his golf buddies won’t forget. So I’m looking forward to the matchup. I’m going to beat him by seven and it’s going to be a good time.
