the GOP was screwed, and the white idiots on twitter are trying to blame the hispanics, instead of themselves that drew the hispanic vote away

It's time for Republicans to understand that they have no political future, and no path to winning the White House again, without Hispanic voters.
They should have learned that lesson in victory in 2024. Now, they'll have to learn it through a painful defeat. The alternative is to accept becoming a permanent political minority and watch Democrats govern for the next 20 years.

Some conservatives want to blame demographic changes in Texas for what happened last night. And I'm sure they have shifted in recent years. But Texas went from Trump +14 in 2024 to Talarico +12 and Hinojosa +7 in 2026. Texas demographics did not shift more than 20 points-worth in only two years.

Everyone knows that Democrats have used immigration as a political and electoral weapon.
My question to Republicans is: Why did you start blocking the legalization of Cubans (and their eventual path to citizenship) when they are an electoral constituency in which at least 7-8 out of every 10 voters support you?
They are one of the few immigrant groups, alongside Venezuelans, that are overwhelmingly anti-communist and Republican, yet they are among those who have been treated the worst over the past two years.
Why are you alienating or refusing to provide a path to legal status for your own voter base? It doesn't have any sense.

98% White counties in Appalachia have swung 30 points to the left, GOP grifter class on here really fighting an amazing battle trying to claim election results are due to immigration lmao

Everyone is blaming "demographics" but White voters literally shifted 14 points to the left of 2022 and 2024. They actually shifted proportionally harder than non-Whites did this election.
This is such a stupid thing to say. Hispanics did not turn Texas blue.
Republicans did, the way ICE worked and was conducted all the stories of social media, even for poeple who had regular status, targeted for their name or skin color.
Blame the hispanics, and not you. STUPID
John Doyle?
Damn I used to watch a lot of his videos back in the day, I guess I really was brainwashed by far-right media at some point. Lovely.
I always thought hw was kind of hot ngl
"We mass imported a population from cultures that are diametrically opposed to the United States."
@JohnDoyle, @NickJFreitas, and @AuronMacintyre break down the impact that demographic changes and immigration have on the outcome of elections:
The GOP is truly so stupid, and so are all its supporters.
They could have earn Hispanic hegemony by just turning a bit of a blind eye, while securing the border and deporting criminals.
But seems like none of these poeple understand politics....
Texas was not Red; it’s not Blue now, it’s Hispanic.
Hispanics embraced Republicans. Republicans never embraced us back.
As a result:
Starr County — 97% Hispanic, carried by Ted Cruz just two years ago — swung harder than any of Texas's 254 counties. Democratic turnout in the Rio Grande Valley doubled.
And look at who's going to Austin and Washington:
🔹 Gina Hinojosa — Governor of Texas. First Latina. First Democrat in 32 years.
🔹 Bobby Pulido — flipped TX-15 from Monica De La Cruz.
🔹 Johnny Garcia — won TX-35, a district the GOP redrew specifically to take it.
🔹 Katy Padilla Stout — flipped TX-23, the border district from San Antonio to El Paso.
🔹 Henry Cuellar — reelected in Laredo by more than 2 to 1.
🔹 Vicente Gonzalez — reelected in the Valley. Sixth term.
🔹 Veronica Escobar — reelected in El Paso with 71%.
In 2024, Hispanics gave Republicans the biggest opening they've had in a generation. Two years of being treated like a problem instead of a partner — and the door closed.
Nobody owns the Hispanic vote. We just proved it. Again.

Republicans won a supermajority by winning over Latinos, and then spent the next two years doing everything imaginable to infuriate them. It's almost as if troglodyte European blood and soil politics isn't going to work for long in a liberal New World republic.
