𝐀 𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐮𝐩 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐒𝐎 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 – 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐢, 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦 🌍We were honored to host a highly successful WSO Global Stroke Alliance Meeting last week in #Hanoi, bringing together over 220 participants from 17 countries across the Western Pacific region. Over two impactful days, the Ministerial Meeting featured keynote presentations from global and regional leaders, hands-on workshops on acute stroke management, prevention, and rehabilitation, and interactive roundtable discussions where countries shared their stroke care landscapes, challenges, and success stories. 🏥 Special highlights were recognizing WSO-certified hospitals in Vietnam and China, celebrating tangible progress in raising global standards in stroke care and the Angels Award Ceremony, honoring outstanding contributions to improving stroke care across the region. In parallel, we hosted a three-day Mechanical Thrombectomy Workshop, providing expert-led, hands-on training aimed at expanding access to this life-saving intervention across the region. 💡Based on the valuable insights and discussions, the World Stroke Organization will now begin developing a comprehensive Action Plan to improve stroke care in the Western Pacific region.
