What if your security metrics only show the attacks you caught? Our CEO Alan LeFort breaks down the blind spot in email security: false positives get measured, but false negatives often stay invisible until it’s too late. securityboulevard.com/2026/1…

Security budgets are still too often tied to IT spend instead of business impact. The real question: what happens to customers, revenue, and trust when an incident propagates beyond your walls? A great perspective from Alan LeFort in SC Media: scworld.com/perspective/comp…

AI is now making cybersecurity teams face the same problem, at a much larger scale. The answer isn’t “pay more attention.” It’s building controls that don’t depend on attention. Great read from Alan LeFort in CSO Online: csoonline.com/article/422561…

Authentication isn't catching modern phishing, because attackers pass it and then look completely legitimate. What gives them away is the structure underneath: the phishing genome. New research by StrongestLayer: strongestlayer.com/white-pap…

StrongestLayer has raised a $4.1 million seed extension led by Inovia Capital, bringing total seed funding to $9.3 million. AI-generated phishing makes it easier to create unique attacks that have no known signature or historical pattern. StrongestLayer says its analysis of thousands of enterprise detections found that more than one-third of attacks reaching inboxes cannot be reliably detected with pattern-matching and behavioral techniques. StrongestLayer's platform evaluates a message's legitimacy and intent in the context of the organization receiving it before reaching a verdict. The company says production deployments grew more than eightfold over the past year. Alan LeFort, Riz ., and Joshua Bass founded the company around that reasoning-first approach. Inovia Capital led the extension, with Sorenson Capital, LaunchPod, Alumni Ventures, and Christopher Key participating. The capital will support go-to-market expansion, broader platform coverage, and preparation for a planned Series A. Quick facts👇 ● founders: Alan LeFort; Riz .; Joshua Bass ● total capital raised: $9.3 million ● HQ: San Francisco, California ● Investors: Inovia Capital; Sorenson Capital; LaunchPod; Alumni Ventures; Christopher Key The contrarian point: AI may make security teams value reasoning and explainability more than another larger library of known threats.

AI has made phishing "spot the fake" training obsolete. The smarter approach? Identify which business processes still deserve the fast lane, and add friction where outdated assumptions create risk. A sharp mental model for the AI era. csoonline.com/article/418847…

AI security doesn't fail all at once. It decays. Models evolve, prompts change, integrations grow, and yesterday's controls become today's blind spots. The challenge isn't deploying #AI securely. It's keeping it secure over time. computerweekly.com/blog/CW-D…
