For all the safety discourse, it is shocking how mainstream American discourse ignores how unsafe this racist garbage makes it for Muslim Americans.
Sen. @tedcruz (R-TX) says that if U.S. Sen. candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI) is elected into the Senate and is placed in the Senate Intelligence Committee, "there is a very real risk that Americans will die as a result."

Dolores Huerta was a hero of mine.
When she co-founded the National Farm Workers Association in 1962, people thought Dolores was crazy. “How are you going to organize farm workers,” she remembered being asked. "They are poor, powerless immigrants.” But that’s exactly what she did, helping thousands of migrant laborers working in brutal conditions make their voices heard, and demand something better.
Dolores spent the rest of her life fighting for marginalized communities, even as she herself faced sexism and abuse — including, as she revealed earlier this year, from Cesar Chavez and others within her own movement. She also came up with a pretty good slogan, “Si, se puede” — Yes, we can — that I too often get credit for. But as usual, Dolores got there first.
Michelle and I are thinking of Dolores’s family, the people whose lives she changed, and everyone who drew inspiration from her example.

The world has lost one of its greatest champions for justice and civil rights for farmworkers…of all working people.
I have always believed food can change the world. Dolores Huerta showed us that change begins with the people who grow and harvest our food.
I will honor her legacy by continuing to fight for a world where the people who feed America…and the world...can also feed themselves and their families, with dignity.
Dolores taught us: Si, se puede…Together, yes, we can.
Rest in peace, Dolores. Si, se pudo! Pero la lucha sigue…your fight lives on in all of us.

This is truly remarkable. I played with Google Gemini because I couldn't believe this, but it's true. It won't state who won the 2020 Presidential election.
So I asked it if realized how that made Google look:

RFKs racist rant against Arabs was despicable. It was personally offensive since Alex Azar and myself —both Arab Americans —were his predecessors. I am proud of my Arab heritage. He is a bigot and a racist.

“The easiest thing for a political leader to do is to appeal to our bigotry and our hatred and xenophobia and prejudice, and point to people who are unlike us and say they’re the ones who are damaging our country," Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., August 5, 2016 on Larry King Now.

Arab and Muslim people alike have made extraordinary contributions to the world across literature, science, mathematics, medicine and countless other fields. To name a few, Omar M. Yaghi won the Wolf Prize in Chemistry in 2018 and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2025. Ahmed Zewail won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1999, and Naguib Mahfouz won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1988.
A person’s race, religion, ethnicity or socioeconomic background does not determine their intellect, creativity or capacity to contribute to humanity.
My thoughts are with all those hurt by my brother’s false, cruel and derogatory words.
