The AI Scientist is far from perfect. Occasionally it makes embarrassing citation errors. Here, it incorrectly attributed “an LSTM-based neural network” to Goodfellow (2016) rather than to the correct authors, Hochreiter & Schmidhuber (1997).
We documented these errors in own (human) reviews with our assessment and critiques of the AI-generated papers, listing issues we found in each paper and suggestions for improvement: github.com/SakanaAI/AI-Scien…

Animating raster sketches has never been easier 👇
We present FlipSketch, that borrows from pre-trained T2V models to construct cute raster animations🦋

The phrase "whole career" is particularly accurate.
1. Pick a difficult technology area. Anything: Flying cars, quantum computing, interstellar travel, nuclear fusion, hypersonic flight, AI, whatever.
2. Complain that "current approaches are hitting a wall and will never work." Write a book about that.
3. Do not propose any solution, beyond very vague proposals.
4. Whenever a breakthrough occurs, minimize its significance and move the goal post.
5. Whenever a setback occurs, scream "Aha, I said so 15 years ago in my book."
6. Whenever Researcher X proposes a new method to lift the limitations of current methods, claim "X now agrees with me that a new paradigm was needed"
6.....
7. Attention! Followers! Senate testimomy! Profits!
It's amazing that one can make a whole career of only spouting pessimistic interpretations a field that is clearly advancing to amazing capabilities. @GaryMarcus criticizing is a lot easier than coming up with something better. I urge you to get out of your comfort zone and say something constructive for once

Sad to see so many empty posters, likely due to visa issues with Canada. Even a few highlights. #CVPR2023

Replying to @CSProfKGD @CVPR
maybe changing venue of future conferences be put in the agenda? Singapore/Dubai😅 — visa is always a hassle for both Canada and USA (last year we got visa 1 day before flight)
As an author, social media ban is a first world problem, for me ability to attend is a bigger issue 🥲
