Ah shame, are you jealous? If you recognise governments being elected by the people, they are also to be held accountable by the same people.
You don't need to be elected, that's how a democracy works.

Tomorrow, I will be joining the ActionSA Mayoral Candidate for the City of Johannesburg, Mr Herman Mashaba, and the Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane, Dr Dr Nasiphi Moya, as part of our Last Call to Fix Broken Cities engagement.
I will also be signing my pledge to the residents of Ekurhuleni — a binding contract that I commit myself to delivering on for the next five years.
Kuthiwa "GREATEST CONSTITUTION IN THE WORLD" mos.
Over there in ANC,DA,EFF and RISE MZANSI they recite it like their daily bread.DONT even talk about amending PREAMBLE, Bill of Rights or Criminal Procedures ACT - blasphemous!
BREAKING NEWS: The three Ethiopian nationals who are accused of the attempted murder that led to riots and torching of cars and businesses in the Durban CBD three weeks ago have been freed on R5000 bail by the Durban Magistrate’s Court.
The State wanted them to remain behind bars, saying they are flight risks, but the defence disagreed. The State said they won’t be safe outside, but the defence argued that all three accused literally live minutes away from three police stations in the Durban CBD and their safety is guaranteed.
The Magistrate remarked that the three are asylum seekers and as such, they enjoy the same constitutional rights as South Africans and freed them on bail with stringent conditions.
Furthermore, the State tried to point out discrepancies in their passports and asylum documents, raising issues of possible fraud and corruption.
However, the State’s argument was watered down by evidence that was given by an immigration official who told the court that their systems have glitches and sometimes it loses records, hence they don’t have some of the information required for the court to take an informed decision - KZN Tonight Podcast

Except the application broadly generalises March and March as being responsible for looting and vandalism in the CBD and other areas. I can understand the motivation to restrict them from Home Affairs using evidence of their members disrupting their refugee offices.
It will be intriguing to see if the state can provide evidence implicating them in the activities they're accused of engaging in, eg. Burning vehicles, looting etc.
The interdict is not a blanket ban on March and March protesting. If we say it bans protests, we fall into her trap.
The court papers say the interdict seeks to stop them from protesting specifically in the eThekwini Municipality where we saw protesters looting, harassing, assaulting, burning cars and crucially, in and around the Home Affairs Refugee Reception Centre on Che Guevara Road (formerly Moore Road) in Berea where the same protesters burnt houses.
The papers explicitly prohibit them from Assaulting, threatening, intimidating, or harassing residents, traders, or the public.
Looting, setting fires to, damaging, or destroying homes, businesses, or vehicles.
Attacking or setting fire to Home Affairs premises. Forcing people to close their businesses or leave their homes. Blocking entrances or exits to buildings.
Only a violent thug would oppose an interdict that bans assault, looting, and arson.
ANC is slowly dying & its apartheid regime snitches are moving like their handlers suppressing public discontent.
You'd be a fool to think the DA,IFP or PA are alternatives. They support a Ramaphosa government.
ALL about political power & protecting the interests of BIG BUSINESS.
If debates fixed anything, viewership and interest would be through the roof.
You will find most of the parties who attend have collapsed or looted municipalities.
The behaviour of the ANC & its GNU government(DA,IFP,PA, FF plus & Rise Mzansi),has increasingly made me antagonistic towards their constituents or voters and any grievances they might have over service delivery and crime in this country.
They want us to all suffer by voting for these parties.Ok,let us all suffer then.
Sis cooked and left no crumbs so much so that @mmkubayi and team have to run to the courts for assisting goverment to govern 😭😭

Parties that love and don't want the current constitution changed: ANC,DA and EFF.

It is not discrimination when it questions the subtle economic advantage given to a religious practice of 2% of the population sold to 98% of the non-practicing population as dietary compliance, with unsolicited consequeces of economic exclusion for those who do not comply.

"Because I genuinely cannot see a better party to run JHB"
I'm in this camp.Few options to choose from.Pple are caught up with manifestos while declaring support for parties/leaders involved in tender corruption, ties to criminal cartels or engage in segregated service delivery.
Sometimes I just wish ActionSA could just stop doing these debates and interviews.
We don't elect mayors directly in a PR system. I don't get why @Action4SA @HermanMashaba @AtholT @ME_Beaumont @afcoetzee insist.
Who cares if they claim you are scared to debate or do interviews. Perception is everything in this country!

I'll be voting ActionSA on 04 November 2026... not coz I believe in them, but because I genuinely cannot see a better party to run JHB.
Is there another party that I should be looking at, that's better than ActionSA?
Please don't tell me about the ANC, DA, EFF, MKP & PA.

I think he has the right vision, and his love for his country is clear. But he needs to be taken off twitter and must get someone else to speak for him. In a number of instances he has really done harm.

Herman Mashaba is an accomplished and well-respected entrepreneur. No one should ever take that away from him.
He was also a really great mayor for Johannesburg when he was under the DA... that's where many of us became his fans.
But honestly, Michael, some of his responses to questions sound so wild that I wonder if he actually listens to the questions or just tries to remember the same talking points no matter what the question is.
There's nothing wrong with him being a face & figurehead for the party & you being the operational leader.
You just must just be honest. That clip I posted is scary. And maybe he needs to get a spokesperson & not speak himself.
🙏🏽
