Damn this is amazing advice for young players! Go Pack Go, lol, but this is an outstanding message
Caleb Williams says he chose Oklahoma believing he could beat out projected No. 1 pick Spencer Rattler and took inspiration from Tom Brady when he wasn’t named the starter
“Lincoln was the best in the country. I was the best in the country. I told people before I went there that I was going to start and play and beat him out. I thought I'd beat him out in spring, and he was projected number one and all of that. So he started for six games, and so I prepared. I kept preparing. Lincoln told me, ‘Keep going.’ It's something that I didn't understand. Those two words, I did not understand when he told me, because I wasn't coming to him to beg for playing time. I came to him and asked him, ‘How do I do it? How do I beat this dude out?’ Because he never let me get reps with the first team”
“I got after it, put my head down, and at a certain point I felt I beat him out. He told me, ‘Keep going.’ He didn't give me any other advice. At the time I was so angry, so frustrated. That wasn't what I wanted to hear because I felt like I was the best. I felt like I could have helped us win all the games, getting more reps, and I'm ready for those moments later in the season. I didn't get those reps. So I kept preparing as best that I could. So when I had my moment, there was no way that he was ever going to get it back”
“I watched and learned Tom Brady for Drew Bledsoe, is when you prepare, you prepare. When you get your moment, because you never know how long it's going to be, you never know what's going to happen. When you get your moment, you don't give it back. And so that was my mindset and plan. I went there saying that I was going to beat him out, and I feel as if I did. Didn't happen, so I had to pivot. I had to change. I had to keep going and adjust to what the position I was in, be the same person every day. But when I got my shot, nothing else is was going to happen other than me being the guy”

Never gets old watching this run by @Giants RB @camskattebo5 in a state title game for Rio Linda. You could argue it's one of the best all time.
High school football changed my life. Tonight it starts changing more lives. Enjoy it, because we all have a shelf life! MGB!
Boys Of Fall would not have been the same without my good friend @SeanPayton. This is Sean giving a pregame speech in Naperville, Illinois where he played High School football. This speech wasn’t scripted. He spoke from heart. Sean is a great football coach but he is a great communicator and motivator. This speech still gives me chills. Sean I am forever grateful. It’s football season everyone. KC

I still call my high school coach “Coach” 30 years later.
That’s not habit — that’s respect.

When ASU reached out to RB Marquis Gillis, the Delaware State RB transfer didn't ask for money. He didn't ask for anything else, either. Instead, he made an offer.
"I'll sleep in the airport just to get a chance to meet with you."
Now, he's a Sun Devil.
