Support Chicago Bars

@supportchibars

Trying to make sure we have bars to go to when this is all over. Neighborhood bars compete head to head and advance by way of votes & donations.

This is a wonderful question! There are a few things everyone can do (1/): 1. Contact your alderman, the mayor, and the alderman of your favorite bar's ward. Ask them what they're doing to ensure the continued survival of your favorite bar...

This is very sad news and all three were favorites of mine and many others in the neighborhood. And these weren’t struggling businesses, pre-COVID. This sad trend will only continue until we are able to get safe, limited indoor capacity back for these bar & restaurant businesses.

to all the restaurants/bars opening their patios and sidewalk seating - please remember people in wheelchairs that need those sidewalks. please don't block sidewalks entirely. do not force people into the street to stay 6 feet away from your patrons.

Chicago police drew guns on three women who were parked in a parking lot on the NW side yesterday. Windows smashed, one taken into custody, violence and no explanation from officers for why they were stopped. Per @AdrienneWrites, her fam still hasn’t received answers ➡️

My cousins pulled over for Chicago police at brickyard yesterday at 1 pm and police bust the windows out, pulled one out by her hair. Glass got in her eyes. Police took one of my cousins and took the car. They left her mother and my other cousin - the driver - in the lot.
