Michaelmas gales assail the waning year,
And Michael’s scale is true, his blade is bright.
He strips dead leaves; and leaves the living clear
To flourish in the touch and reach of light.

What is a Saint? A particular individual completely redeemed from self-occupation; who, because of this, is able to embody and radiate a measure of Eternal Life. His whole life, personal, social, intellectual, mystical is lived in the supernatural regard. What is he for?

Today completes the publication of "American Quartet" with what I hope is the best of the bunch, a poem simply called "1776." See link in reply.
Really appreciated this piece in @thelampmagazine from @BMcGrewvy on the wonderful experience of a literary childhood. I resonate with much of what she said and long for the days of sweet, uninterrupted bliss! thelampmagazine.com/issues/i…
