📈” I need competition, I need tournaments, I need rhythm to get my best level back.”
🇦🇹 Carlos Alcaraz about coming to play in Vienna:
“I haven't played, you know, many competitions this year. And I need competition, I need tournaments, I need rhythm to get my best level back.
“I'm happy with the way that I'm playing withmy level right now, but I feel like I'm still out of it.
“I need coming here, practicing with these guys, competing with these guys to get the rhythm back or step by step getting it back.
“So, yeah, I just had a few weeks without competing and I was... Well, me and my team thought that, well, it would be a really good chanceto play this week here in Vienna.”

🎙️Carlos Alcaraz about Zverev being the 2026 ATP Year-End World No. 1:
“Well-deserved, to be honest. Because, you know, tennis not only to step on the court and play, and try to play better or the best player who played that day is the best. It is about the consistency you have during the whole year.
“There are some players who have better style, better level, and there’re some players that have better physical condition… And I would say Sasha has both, you know, great level and great physical condition because he's able to play the whole year, making finals week after week, and not getting injured or not getting fatigued and keep winning during the whole year.
“So I would say it is really well deserved to become the Grand Slam champion this year. And, yeah, all I can say, I'm just really happy about it because I know how hard he’s been, you know, chasing that achievement. And I would say it's a really well deserved trophy.”
